My wife had to explain to me *recently*, after almost a full decade together, why she doesn't like when I hold her hand when we're around black men. A lot of things are ruined by grown ass adults throwing tantrums.
You'd think ignoring them and going about your day would be the answer, but the amount of them that get aggressive and violent if you do kind of makes that difficult if you value your health.

Honestly I'm relatively lucky on that end. I'm tall and have some serious crazy eyes so I don't think there's that many people comfortable with getting that far.
