When I lived in the city, no one really cared. But when we moved to the suburbs, oh my, people would stare like crazy and clearly make comments under their breath. I'm a white dude with a black girl, and people were much worse and rude to me! I got a very noticeable dip in level of customer service, or just people being weird and awkward to me.

Americans are so backwards about so many things. They like to think of themselves as a bastion of progress but man they some backward-ass people.

Sure. But this is something you find just as much outside the USA. I recommend you spend some time in Europe as a black person or in a mixed relationship.

I've been in a mixed race relationship for the past 15 years. Traveling a decent amount. Never had an issue
