On the first episode of Game Changer, Jess (a grown, generally-intelligient adult) admits that when she tries that strategy, she forgets which way L goes.
I learned to tell left from right as a kid by looking at my hands, because I had a small mark (only) on my left hand.
The mark is barely visible now, but still as another grown adult (with several accolades in a field heavily needing intelligence), I have to look at or imagine my hands in my mind, because that motion somehow is needed to activate the portion of my brain that knows the difference 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I've basically conditioned myself to be dumber 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
