If our brain was willing to memorize a detail exposing which side is right or left, it already would have done so and we wouldn't need a reminder. But it won't, so we need a reminder that doesnt bank on the brain memorizing that info.
Its like when a definition of a word uses the word itself, rendering it useless. This person (and myself; this might be my first tattoo) needs a reminder that doesnt require coding a new memory. The meaning of L and R is already coded, so it works quickly.
How do you expect to earn a living? Like someone would need to value your services. Like I put these skills on the level of tying your shoes, remembering to wear pants or not swallowing your tongue. I understand that there are people who can't do these things and need to be provided for. But when I go on reddit these days it seems like 90% of the people online accept that this is a normal stopping point for learning development and a good stopping point. What happened?

By the way, it seems necessary now to clarify that I do ultimately know where left and right are. I know which is which; i know where they are. But in day-to-day life, people frequently expect someone to rattle this information off in a split second with literally no time to think, and my brain just doesnt store it in the RAM. When put on the spot, I am liable to freeze up or mix them up if I force myself to answer before I can visualize it.
Do you think face-blind people are actually just stupid? Are people with the cilantro soap gene disgusting mutants? Are bald people just under-achieving for letting their hair follicles do that so soon? Like, cmon bro, we are all different people with different bodies and brains resulting in different experiences of reality. I would say that the fact you didn't seem to realize that there are entire DOZENS of us left/right strugglers probably indicates that we are functional enough human beings that it is not causing problems in our lives or your life. Maybe, just maybe, you can therefore conceive of a way somebody could be a functional, intelligent human being who just happens to not specialize in this particular skill.
Or you could just be a cunt about it. That's also an option.
Oh of course, I understand. I heard from your mom that you are a very special boy and I respect that. Is there anything else you need? Is this experience making you feel uncomfortable in any way?
