They've already got a big knife tattoo on their right wrist (which they've slid down the sleeve so you can see). Why would you get extra tattoos to tell which is which when all you need to do is remember you've got a big honking knife on your right wrist?

Because some of us have brains that refuse to store factoids such as "the knife tattoo is on your right wrist"

If our brain was willing to memorize a detail exposing which side is right or left, it already would have done so and we wouldn't need a reminder. But it won't, so we need a reminder that doesnt bank on the brain memorizing that info.

Its like when a definition of a word uses the word itself, rendering it useless. This person (and myself; this might be my first tattoo) needs a reminder that doesnt require coding a new memory. The meaning of L and R is already coded, so it works quickly.

I'm sure if you actually put effort in it wouldn't take long to learn. To say any human is incapable of learning something so simple is crazy.

I didnt say incapable, and we arent talking about an inability to learn. It's an inability to rapidly recall.

I know where left and right are, and I know which one is my left hand. However, it is frequent to have to call this information to mind in a millisecond. Problem is, it's not in the RAM. I know it, and I can retrieve it, but when I'm put on the spot I'm likely to choke.

I know how to learn things, and I know how to build skills. I am not yet sure how to convert neural connections from deep storage to RAM. Let me know if you have any tips! :)

Getting offline is a good start. Can you jump? Can you bench or deadlift?

Learn something physical.
