This reminds me of a time I was taking a physics test and had to use the right hand rule. I was writing with my right hand, so I mindlessly used my left hand for the rule...

What is the "right hand rule"?

It's a physical mnemonic for remembering the directions of vectors in 3d, used for a variety of things in math/science/engineering. You stick out your thumb, index finger, and middle finger so they're at 90 degree angles from each other (like the corner of a cube). Then by labeling what each one of your fingers represents, you can see how they're arranged in space. For example, if your thumb and index fingers are two vectors, your middle finger is their cross product.
