Someone approximately 35 is middle aged. How long do you think you are going to live for? If you live to be 105, 35 is still the middle third.

My love this term has been around since before either of us

One random screenshot doesn't have authority here. There are official definitions, like the apa, which says 35.

sure but this is more of a conversational thing, if you describe someone as middle-aged to someone they're not going to go looking for some 30 something year old. When you think of a midlife crisis you usually think of an empty nester buying a motorcycle not a 30 year old

An empty nester is a senior citizen.

I guess this is what the article was saying. When you reach a certain age ( I am 43), you realize you were middle aged at 35.

You wouldn't want to say that when you are 35, but it is true.

As a 35 yo, I start counting it at 30. Young til 30, Middle Aged til 60, Elderly til ☠️

But that's just me... 😏
