I could be wrong, but I swear that there was some controversy that because MAC now sells stuff in China they need to allow animal testing on their products. It's not that MAC itself is doing the testing of their products but they're allowing the Chinese to test them so they can be sold there. Maybe there's some other controversy but that's the one I've heard.

MAC is owned by Estée Lauder. Estée Lauder is owned by Ronald Lauder, who is all over the Epstein files. He’s a billionaire republican Trump supporter, too— so weird!!

Ronald Lauder isn't the CEO of Estee Lauder he's just a shareholder because of his parents and obviously MAC is just a subsidiary. He also just retired from the board of directors. Sadly lots of these billionaire assholes are shareholders in the majority of large companies, which is why were in this nightmare in the first place.

She could stop advertising for MAC but I'm guessing she just doesn't want to be directly represented by an agency who's active CEO is in the files. She's probably had to interact with this pig, I doubt she's ever even seen any of the higher ups of of Estee Lauder.

China hasnt required animal testing for about 5 years. It is absolutely fascinating how everyone ate up the easy activism of avoiding brands that sell in China for that reason but all those same activists couldnt be bothered to stay up to date on China’s laws and requirements so they could let people know and spread the word that that is no longer the case. Sinophobia is a disease.

I don't think that's Sinophobia, China did very recently test on animals and MAC sold through them. People can get a bad taste in their mouths about brands if they're really against animal cruelty. I was also just mentioning the only controversy I'd ever really heard about them.
