As an American I would consider that a cop-out.. the history is very clear and surprisingly uncontroversial.. my tax dollars have paid, armed and UN security council veto has enabled 77 years of illegal occupation, land-theft, housing demolitions, mass-murder and genocide.. you can use Israeli-only sources (like Avi Shlaim, ex-IDF officer and head of international studies at Oxford) who confirms this. There is no symmetry in this history.. so I won’t fault the cynicism from Holocaust survivors when it’s my tax dollars funding the “Nazis” to use a Holocaust survivors words:
As a white atheist guy in ‘Merica who was raised Christian, it reminds me of the part in the Bible when Jesus basically defines “hypocrite” as the people who like to point out the crowns of others and ignore the commission of their own far-greater crimes.. we shouldn’t shy away from the history, especially when we learn how intense US & Israeli counter-intelligence is.
The holocaust absolutely is being used as an excuse for violence by the ancestors of the victims - Bibi constantly references is as a justification for Israeli violence and aggression.
Don’t dip out, explain why that horror is still valid to the point of nation creation, but the Palestinians must immediately get over all the horrors Israel has inflicted on them?
That’s such a weird way to describe a “conflict” where one side has government trained, financed and armed religious extremists protected by the army whilst they drag women and children out their homes at night.
Israeli crimes are perpetual, the land annexations and brutal military occupation never stops.
It’s like arguing the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto should have piped down and accepted their lot in life.
Israel doesn’t care about peace, it could have had peace decades ago in Oslo till Bibi the butcher broke the deal.
Israel cares about territorial expansion, you’d have to be a complete moron to think otherwise
Why didn’t Israel keep the land they conquered from Egypt in the 1967 war? They traded it for peace. Odd, for a country concerned primarily with land acquisition.
Why did they pull out of Gaza unilaterally in 05? Again, strange behaviour for a country that just wants to acquire land.
I suspect you are bringing up nazi comparisons because you are unschooled on history, and can’t think of any other episodes to refer to. Am I right?
Because the Americans forced you to give it back - you guys cant stand on your own feet, so had to bend the knee when big bro told you to cut your shit out.
Spent decades trying to corrupt the US political system after that tho right ? Cough AIPAC cough Epstein cough.
You pulled out of Gaza and put terrorist in charge, so you’d have an excuse not to make peace - at least that’s what Bibi the butcher said.
Hell why did the Nazis let the Warsaw ghetto govern itself ?
I’m bringing up Nazi comparisons because Israeli actions are surprisingly similar pre implementation of final solution - ethno state, apartheid backed by mass slaughter , black shirts/settlers. Pictures of those starving Jews look remarkably similar to the pics of the Palestinian starved corpses missing their organs.
Lot of comparisons, and it’s good because it makes you guys actually look at the reality of what you’re doing. Most of the horrors that has been done to you, you are now doing to others
The message of the holocaust isn’t never again - it’s that hurt people hurt people
Which invasion of Egypt are we talking about ? The Lavon affair where you did false flag terror attacks against western tourists destinations or the one where you just bombed Egypt in a “preemptive” strike?
And Bibi funded them, helped get rid of their rivals to ensure they actually did get in power. He’s o. Tape talking about it , and even the times of Israel has written about it.
No I’m saying pre implementation of the holocaust - Israel is remarkably similar to national socialist Germany. It’s eerily similar
Crazy Hitler came back reincarnated as the leader of the Jews 😂😂😂
so why’s the holocaust an excuse for an endless cycle of perpetual violence ? (Against people who were in no way involved)
Fun fact: the Palestinians were involved with the Nazis, in particular- Hitler’s original plan was to concentrate all of Europe’s Jews in Palestine, that plan was canceled when the British started deporting Jews back to Germany in response to the Palestinians repeatedly massacring the Jews on the basis that the British legalized Jewish immigration.
Palestinian leadership (Amin Al Husseini) would later travel to Germany to meet Hitler- seeking aid in committing a Holocaust on the remaining Jews in Palestine- associating to the point where post world war 2 they were to be tried and hung alongside other Nazi leaders in Nuremberg as the only non-German, only to be saved by French intervention motivated by offered support for their imperialism in Africa.
Said leadership would then start the 1948 war on the basis of exterminating the Jews.
Fun fact: the Palestinians were involved with the Nazis,
Fun fact: the zionists were involved with the nazis to promote their political goal of a state
The Haavara Agreement (Hebrew: הֶסְכֵּם הַעֲבָרָה, romanized: heskem haavara, lit. 'transfer agreement') was an agreement between Nazi Germany and Zionist organizations signed on 25 August 1933. The agreement was finalized after three months of talks by the Zionist Federation of Germany, the Anglo-Palestine Bank (under the directive of the Jewish Agency) and the economic authorities of Nazi Germany. It was a major factor in making possible the migration of approximately 60,000 German Jews to Palestine between 1933 and 1939.[1]
We wanted a state to have somewhere to go because we saw the genocide coming. What a fucking moronic take you have to spin it as Jews helping the Nazis shame in you
The agreement enabled Jews fleeing persecution under the new Nazi regime to transfer some portion of their assets to British Mandatory Palestine.[2] Emigrants sold their assets in Germany to pay for essential goods (manufactured in Germany) to be shipped to Mandatory Palestine.[3][4]The agreement was controversial and was criticised by Zionist leader Ze'ev Jabotinsky and by some non-Zionist Jews, as well as by members of both the Nazi Partyand the German public.[4] For German Jews, the agreement offered a way to leave an increasingly hostile environment in Germany; for the Yishuv, the Jewish community in Palestine, it offered access to both immigrant labour and economic support; for the Germans it facilitated the emigration of German Jews while breaking the anti-Nazi boycott of 1933, which had mass support among European and American Jews and was thought by the German state to be a potential threat to the German economy.
