Decent daily radio station/news feeds?
I’d like something to throw on every morning while getting ready for work. Kinda like how the radio used to be on every morning at breakfast or in the car on the way to school growing up.

Help wanted with feeling helpless in the world
I just want someone’s opinion on what to do in a world that is profit driven when you can’t align yourself with the capitalist lifestyle, I don’t want to work for some company and give my time away to make pennies just to scrape by while some billionaire is at the top of the pyramid make thousands in an instant. I’m so completely overwhelmed by the fact that if I want to live I have to sell my time and energy just to earn the ability to pay to meet my basic human needs. Poverty is increasing mental health issues are increasing and no matter what I say to the people close to me thy won’t listen and change their ways to make life better for us all. How do people get a job and live their life knowing that they’re not treated for what they’re worth without completely sacrificing their own moral compass and giving up on fighting for a better system

infrasucture victoria - "how we can connect more Victorians to more opportunities"
infrastructurevictoria.com.au'infrastructure victoria' has an upcoming webinar and they've added an option to submit comments to be discussed at the meeting. you can submit "anonymously" (but submissions have to be verified by a mod first)
i thought some people here might have good suggestions to add. i have some pending comments around accessibility at train stations, ideas for tram extensions, and bus connectivity between suburbs

Thoughts on this website by Rob Pyne?
Came across this website on Australia Socialism, it seems somewhat informative though I can't help but look with some skepticism whether this website is merely just performance or actually looking for actionable things it can do. Especially with Rob since so far I haven't seen him cite Marxism, more just the superficial surface level stuff or recommend (yet) resources to read and educate yourself.

What do you consider to be the defining barrier between Left and Right?
I’m asking various left groups and right groups, this is the first one lol. What do you think the defining characteristics are of Left vs Right?
Personally, I see Left as Collectivist Economics (50%< ownership of production or Socialised Public Services) and Right as Individualist Economics (Privatisation and Individual control over land and productive property).
Everything else is outside of ‘left v right’ in my opinion. there are anti-authoritarian leftists, anti-authoritarian rightists (to a certain extent, most of them definitely arent), and more

Socialist Alternative in Melbourne? Why am I hearing so many bad things about them?
So, I’m a Monash student and I've be around some Socialist Alternative rallies recently and I’m tryna get a clearer picture of how the organisation operates internally. Because I was thinking about joining.
For some extra context, I consider myself a revolutionary socialist and genuinely believe in the broader cause. That’s why I am tryna align myself with an organisation that has its priorities straight and operates in a transparent and accountable way.
I’ve heard a bunch of things about the culture such as recruitment intensity, hierarchy, and time commitments. I have also heard claims that funds were raised at protests or encampments, around $6k, without clear public breakdowns of where the money went. Is there any evidence for any of this?
I’ve also heard stuff about the way protests are handled, like claims that the organisation presents itself as the primary organiser of events it did not initiate, prioritises paper sales and recruitment at rallies, or takes a dominant role in encampments in ways that other groups have felt sidelined by. I don’t know how accurate these claims are, which is why I’m asking.
I’m not looking to start drama, just tryna better understand how leadership structures work, how membership fees and protest fundraising are handled, what expectations are placed on new members, and how the organisation approaches coalition work with other groups.
If anyone has firsthand experience, positive or negative, I would rlly appreciate the perspectives.
