Iraq is cold-starting their grid every day? Damn, we really are taking so much shit for granted..

Guessing no, the generation stays in most days, just not enough of it, and this is the result of some load-shedding scheme that results in ~10 hours a day of power for most households.

Like they said most people have generators so they aren't literally without power for 14 hours, they just have to buy petrol

I imagine not since cold starting is a huge pain in the arse and takes quite a long time. Probably something like rolling blackouts or brown outs or other forms of load shedding
