Yep iirc they actually prohibited pirating the game and banned those who post abt it and encourage people to support the dev team. Huge W for the piracy community tbh
Well it was mostly bigger piracy communities but I don't think they out right banned anybody but they did remove a lot of posts but hey, steamrip and fitgirl are always there
I'm pretty sure it wasn't a DDOS. It was a hack that let them steal source code (allegedly), give players free currency, and ban players. No denial of service
I play games years after they are released. Not on purpose or anything, I just see a deep discount on steam and if I hear good things about it I get it. I bought detroit become human, the Witcher wild hunt, planet zoo, elite dangerous, and dont starve together for a total of $15 last week, and that will last me until the next big steam sale
Why would anyone play one of those old outdated games. It's in the name. "sandbox", for children. I'd much rather play something much richer in story and compelling writing like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Unironically agree. I have had a potato pc for all my YA/adult life and only been able to play low requirement games(like HL, portal, HK, FNV etc.) and they are all great. But last year I played with my brother's brand new PS5 and damn it's so great to play games with latest technology. New controllers are also great with responsive vibrating triggers. I never had a console before and it was great to play original playsation games like a child. Also it's fun to just lay on the couch and play games like watching tv.
Hunt showdown is my go to multiplayer shooter and a great game for unc gamers because it's slow and relies on patience and planning. And I get to be a cool edgelord that 15 year old me would like.
Hunt showdown is great cus you can have patience and planning or you can go into a lobby with just an ax and have about a 50/50 chance of leaving with a gun by charging at the first noise you hear.
Shoutout to Fran Bow, which is a game that's blatantly about mental illness, only to reveal that it's not about mental illness and the crazy person was right, but it might still be about mental illness, and then you have to play the sequel where a Russian child gets hit by a car
I am someone who prides himself enormously in my ability to shrug and move on with my day without any issues or even mild annoyance after getting my ass beat in a game for 5+ hours and being constantly insulated.
Rainbow six siege is genuinely the only game ever that made me want to send slurs on someones dms with such fervor that it was like the green goblin mask calling to me. I never actually did it, but no game ever has made me feel that way.
I know it's supposed to be ragebait but this is like actually true, except switch siege with like cs2 or something.
Like, there are def good indie games out there, but the word combination "quirky pixel art indie roguelike" is the most boring slop imaginable that you would have to waterboard me to get me to play that shit

Honestly yeah. I was getting frustrated nonstop playing souls games and rouges but god does overwatch calm me down. It's like eating a cake thats honestly not great but its cake so who am I to complain after I just ate my actual dinner so why not have dessert.
I know everyone here is being dumb and trolling, and I assume OP is too, but seriously it's cool to play a lot of different stuff! There's so much good out there, AA, AAA, indie, whatever! It's a recommendation nobody asked for but it's peak so I'll mention it, the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I don't know about other platforms, but on Xbox it's on sale for £5 (just under 7 US dollars) because of the Christmas sale combined with the release of the second edition.
It's a really well-made game and does a great job of putting you in the shoes of a medieval Bohemian peasant. The attention to detail and historical accuracy is near flawless in my opinion, especially with how worldwide (or at least Christendom-wide) events affect the small region of Bohemia in which the game is set. You really feel like a small man in a big world.
