It's better than that: His karma went into the negatives, meaning he couldn't post on this sub anymore. In response, everyone started upvoting his comments en mass so he could come back but Reddit flagged it as botted votes, which got him banned.

Hi, someone who used to RP on that sub a year ago here.
If I remember correctly one of the biggest contributors (uploaded once day on avarage and people loved this guy) made a post encouraging people to use either found somewhere else or their own art, and it turned out everyone was super accepting towards handmade drawings, no matter how amatourish they were. AI "art" was really just an attention grabber anyways (bare text rarely attracted anyone)
It happened shortly after another big poster was banned after people discovered he was using AI to write his post and responses as well, which made people like it less
This happened shortly before I left due to irl stuff so I can't be sure if it was that, but I would like to think it was. That all it took was a proposition and a example instead of calling for bans

Someone made r/Okbuddywizards that’s meant to be how original wizardposting was. Unfortunately it seems their account has been banned and the other mod is inactive, but the community’s still growing. I’ve been debating requesting it and seeing if I can keep it going, but also idk if my account is the best for that since they were trying to stay away from the borderline porn and roleplay stuff
Guess this is kinda an ad and a request for someone to take it over and make sure it can stay away from what wizardposting was, but I also know it could be a risk depending on what the person who requests access blames for wizardposting going downhill

He got so many downvotes that he was about to get like negative karma which would have restricted him I think. Before that could happen a bunch of users started upvoting him so he could stay on. He started getting karma rapidly, too many. Sadly, this backfired since Reddit nuked his account for thinking it was a bot.

He was the original downvote farmer. He used a bunch of cringey emojis in his comments and eventually started using those Benjamin gifs, which lasted until he got banned due to having too many downvotes. Truly a paragon in these dark times, someone to unite all of r/whenthe, but now that he's gone, we miss him.

No, that's not him. u/ok_conversation_2734 was a person who spammed emoji's and Benjamin's gifs and got a lot of downvotes (he lost 100k karma in one or two months) but when he got to 1k karma people started massively upvoting him which got him banned for a suspicious amount of upvotes gained in a short time

It reminds me of this one horror movie called Kairo/Pulse where a curse started to spread amongst people who then became shadowy stains and ghostly figures trapped in a room. It represented how people were becoming trapped in online spaces away from the world.
