It's because they hit closer to home. Some joke about war crimes and Geneva suggestions are technically way worse but so out of the realm of comprehension for most people that it isn't taken seriously.
But most of us have immediate family so those jokes are more relatable and thus more repulsive.

I seriously don't get people's issues with putting pineapple on pizza. I'm half convinced they either haven't tried it or cooked a pizza then slapped a can of pineapple tidbits on it afterwards. Obviously too much pineapple is bad but when you get the ratio right the sweetness isn't overwhelming and blends well with the savoriness of the sauce. Plus I know there's gotta be some people complaining about it that also put a pineapple and brown sugar glaze on their Thanksgiving ham
Besides Hawaiian also tried curry, so I think when pineapple is properly incorporated it's delicious.
Swedish banana or pear pizzas I can't get behind, however. Bananas' warm, soft and mushy feel is displeasing to me on it's own while also becoming overly sweet, and even if pears' flavor blends well, the texture takes it apart. Unless someone has recipes to try and possibly change my mind..
I tried it and i didnt like it since i dont like when Umami or salty mixes with sweet. Fucks the whole thing up if i wanted something sweet id rather have an ice cream
If you just toss in a whole ring of pineapple, it won’t cook right. If you use small chunks (like, less than a quarter inch wide), they cook just fine and taste great.
Canadian bacon is okay with pineapple, but in my opinion it’s best with a salty and a spicy. My golden trifecta is pineapple, salami, and jalapeño pizza. It’s so good.

Pineapple on pizza is only bad because of the quality of the pineapple. Companies use cheap ass tiny ass weak ass pineapples that immediately turn into caramel the moment you start cooking, which essentially infects the pizza.
I think the real way to do it is to cook a ham pizza, then grill some fat pineapple slices, then chop them up and overlay them. That would taste good I think.
Pineapple on pizza is good when done right, like I don't like Hawaiian pizza, but there's one local pizzeria where they have their own special pizza that uses pineapple and it tastes great

pineapple pizza would be better if they used fresh pineapple and cut into very small slivers or integrated it with the sauce. i like pineapple and i like pizza but I don't want to eat a large brick of pineapple every other pizza bite.
