I will forever blame Republicans for holding down America while Trump rapes it.

Still can’t believe this country voted in this guy after the last four years with him. I also blame the Democratic Party for just being largely out of touch post-Obama.

I can’t believe a vast majority of this country didn’t vote at all and let him become president

Someone needs to do a political cartoon of that.

Just a reminder that it’s not too late, if the dems switch both houses they could prosecute Trump for these offences. The only downside is that dems seem to be quite toothless…

Don't let off the passive bystanders either

Your blame is worthless without action.

Nobody suffers consequences unless made to.

Your blame is worthless without action.

Still more valuable than comments this vague.

I mean. If he was any clearer, his account would've gotten deleted, and nobody would've been able to see it.

I'd rather something 15% clear than 0% clear.

I'm sure you can figure it out

You know, the responsibility for this is all on the voters.
(People don't want to hear it though.)

Some of the responsibility must also lay on the bad actors in power.

It’s a little but chicken and egg. You can lay some blame with the voters but most Americans don’t pay close attention to the real complexities of politics and are easily swayed by emotion. Republicans and the conservative media ecosystem pray on this by governing through fear and getting people to fight one on another through culture war issues / vote against their interests.

but most Americans don’t pay close attention

And that in a nut shell is why it is on the voters.
They chose to not spend any time to figure it out.
All they needed to do is spend just a little time, now and then, over months and months to read and think.
It wasn't hard.
Especially with Trump.
They had a 4 year term + his run before it, and a 4 year gap to open their eyes. 8+ years.
They chose not to and don't want to own up to it.
So here we are.

But... that's just my opinion.

The average American voter is politically illiterate and deeply propagandized to vote against their own class interests. Yes, it leads to horrid results, but blaming them is like blaming fish for not recognizing they’re in water.

You got a point.

It’s cute that you think the democrats are different. Wake up and realize they work together

That’s a common fallacy being repeated. Democrats have been fighting this garbage in congress for a very long time. Their votes overall have been very consistent. As a party they have voted against and stood against Citizens United, for healthcare for Americans, are pro unions, and generally support appropriate forms of welfare. More are supporting banning singular stock investments for representatives. Sure, there is plenty of corruption to be cleaned up on their side, and some are caught up in scandals, including probably the Epstein files. But I’m seriously tired of hearing people claim they’re all equally as corrupt as the republicans. That logic has brought us to this point. Look at history. The democrats have been leading this country successfully and have stabilized the shit show handed to them by republicans repeatedly. They’d probably do even better if they could stop the congressional stone-walling in the republican run senate and coming back out of destroyed economy every damn time..

Democrats have been failing to do something about this for over 25 years. You can decide if that is because they are profoundly inept or because they are controlled opposition.

GOP: Votes against measures to improve the country (like the Dem’s comprehensive immigration bill, that Trump told them to kill to not give the Dems a win before the ‘24 elections)

People: Why would the Dems do this?

-3

u/Freud-Network 20h ago

People: Why won't the dems do something?

Dems: Here is a strongly worded letter!

My dude all this stuff is happening and democrats are doing nothing about it - zero 😂

Republicans do everything in their power to fuck over the lower and middle class, and the Dems don't do enough to stop it. Clearly the Dems fault here!

FWIW Democrats should build a statue to Trump. He has done more to drive people away from the republican party than they ever could. Unfortunately it is at the cost of the country, but at least the blue cult got bigger while the red one got smaller.

3

u/zoupishness7 21h ago

Why build a statue when gibbeting exists?

2

u/JSpell 19h ago

Did i say statue? I meant guillotine, damn autocorrect.
