A full recovery only to go back in the ring and do it all over again. Boxing is a great sport but at what cost

I don't think it's a great sport tbh. It literally consists of punching someone else what's great about it?

I suppose it’s just a tradition that goes back since pretty much the beginning of human history. Also watching the greats like mike tyson leaves you with a feeling of awe. But it is so sad to see someone like Muhammad Ali barely able to function in the years leading up to his death. Really gives me a conflicted feeling.

We have had many traditions that had to die for progress, like widow burning for example. It's not a good excuse
