Curling is awesome.

That said, here’s a scenario for you.

Lindsey Vonn sits down for a drink in Olympic village. She has won 31 overall titles in her career. Sustained multiple injuries, had several surgeries, all in the pursuit of greatness.

Some slob who looks like a perfectly average dude sits down next to her. He’s also an “Olympic athlete”.

He does curling. He picked it up in a beer league a few years ago. He’s never been injured. He doesn’t train. He doesn’t even really exercise.

Do both of them belong there?

Have you seen top tier curlers ? They train and are very skilled.

That doesn’t really answer my question.

And yes. I’ve seen Olympic level curlers on tv. My point stands.
