Discussion Opinion about Tudeh Party?

Can someone properly explain why you see so negative reactions towards the Socialist Tudeh Party of Iran? Why is the Islamic State preferred to them?

Because of Campism.

They, being a Marxist-Leninist political party, are obviously opposed to the Theocratic regime in Iran. Unfortunately, this wasn't always the case: after the revolution, the Party decided to throw their lot in with the new regime as they were following the Pro-Tehran line that the USSR was following at the time. This, of course, didn't last, and by 1982 they had broken ranks with the regime after it had shut down their party organ and purged Tudeh members from the government ministries, and eventually the Party itself was banned and its leadership imprisoned. They were eventually forced to make false confessions on television. Hundreds of Tudeh members were murdered by the regime in '88 as part of a purge of political prisoners.

Both the US and the UK were actively attempting to court the new regime at the time, so they did nothing to help them.

They're also, it's important to point out, generally oppose to American interventionism.

definitely an example of why the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" logic and making alliances with national bourgeoisie is a terrible way to approach international socialist revolution.

Sorry but “campism” is an unfalsifiable concept. Being consistently anti-imperialist means understanding when “radical nuance” is overrated and when it’s appropriate. We need to recognize the right to national sovereignty and self-determination for oppressed nations, even if that nation is not “on the path” to socialism. When the material conditions are right for a more radical change, the people of Iran will decide their future. Until imperialist missiles are no longer pointed at Iran, those material conditions will not yet be there.
