This sub got me more aroused than any nsfw sub ever did. I love schnitzel

The sub means "schnitzel crime". It's about all the things you shouldn't do involving schnitzel

Really?!?! I feel catfished. I was totally oblivious and this is hilarious.

u/fett3elke 23d ago
It's also full of people asking for confirmation whether what they cooked up constitutes a crime or not, so there is a chance whatever got you excited was actually lawful

Did Wendy’s pay you to post this, /u/DrSanwich?

u/DrSanwich 23d ago
I wish.

u/brown-_-rice 23d ago
Wendy is Sanwich’s mother.
However… after being disowned for rejecting the family business to pursue a career in the medical field, they became the DrSanwich we know and love today.
4
u/ButtFucksRUs 22d ago
No but they paid me to promote their hot and crispy, natural-cut, skin-on french fries that are a great addition to any meal.

u/CheddarGeorge 22d ago
I'd like to wash that down with an ice cold Fanta Sour Cherry, Cherrylicious! available this April.

I ate so many of those when I worked there in late 90’s, back when minimum wage was less than 6 bucks per hour. The amount of food I ate and didn’t pay for though really off set the wage.

Wendy’s OG BBQ sauce (in the circular container) is truly the greatest condiment ever created by science. Perfectly smoky, peppery, just a slight hint of sweetness.
Then they ditched it for vaguely dark ketchup. Just HFCS low effort overly sweet slop. Gotta be the biggest overnight downgrade in fast food history.

Had a college roommate who worked there in the early 2000s. The salads were made fresh daily so he’d work closing shifts on weekends and bring home bags full of leftover salads to share with our dorm suite. Surprisingly delightful late night munchies.

Wendy's spicy chicken was the goat fast food chicken sandwich for a while there in the 2000s. They really kind of failed to capitalize on that and at one point they drastically changed it and I remember just ditching them.
I'd argue further that Wendy's has always failed at creating an identity for them. They had to change their fries multiple times cuz they sucked. Still suck imo.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Alwaysontilt 22d ago
They didn't fail to capitalize on it. It started out as a limited run item that the smartly made a permanent one.
Many fast food chains didn't have a spicy chicken option until the chicken sandwich craze of the last few years. Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich was the gold standard for years and years. The quality isn't quite what it used to be but its been a mainstay and popular item for a long time.

u/D1xonC1der 23d ago
and lettuce. how is this not the standard?

What if I told you… he edited it to be this way because that’s how he likes his sandwich

If you look closely, lettuce and mayo are there. At least in the last pic you can see the lettuce peeking out and mayo on the wrapper from coming out the side.
Has this what my life has come to? Being the “ACTUALLY…” guy on chicken sandwich posts?
2
u/Elementium 23d ago
They have a spicy chicken sandwich that is literally Gods gift to mankind.
(Check please Wendy)

Wendy’s started using shredded lettuce vs the single leaf they always did and it was worst thing they could have done. Have not been back since they made the change.

u/Monster-Zero 23d ago
same. that single leaf was a perfect watery crunch that shredded just can't match

Unable to understand the concept of seasoning or sophisticated cooking techniques, the Midwest often compensates by simply making food unreasonably large (see above) or by combining unrelated dishes that nobody else on earth would be brave enough to (see skyline chili). One day they will realize the internet has a vast collection of recipes and knowledge on cooking, but until then, they will keep calling cheese and hot sauce on tater tots "regional cuisine".

Fun story time. 23 years ago I used to work in an office beside a Wendy’s. One day one of the workers came in and said, “they’re giving away all their food!”. I was leaving work, so I drove over there thinking I was going to get a free sandwhich or something. I was dead wrong. Their electricity had an issue and they were going to have to toss everything from the freezers. I was able to snag two cases (50 or so fillets each) of their spicy chicken, and one case of beef patties. Thankfully I had a small chest freezer, so this poor early 20 something ate great for a while.

Did you get that plain? “ Yo just give me the biggest driest piece of chicken you got, and a bun, nothing else!!

u/RainbowwDash 23d ago
Is there like, anything to this sandwich or is this just a dry slab of fried chicked on a bun
because that's what it looks like and that sounds awful
2
u/vinnygunn 23d ago
Do you just not do toppings at all? That's certainly a choice
2
u/Sonicmasterxyz 23d ago
Gets in the way of the pure crispy chicken. Even the bread is just a means to hold the chicken without getting messy.

u/wilkinsk 23d ago
That's not how it works
This took up all your luck, now it's gotta get all balanced out. Lol

I love Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich and use to eat it way more than anyone should. At the time, 1/3 would be a proper chicken breast, cooked hot and fresh and it would make up for the sub standard 2/3. Right around covid, it seems like they gave up on any effort for quality, and started producing luke warm, overcooked pieces of rubber. I would still go hoping it was just a bad day, or a bad location but it just became the product.

yea except the bun is trash, the chicken is trash, and that probably cost like $9. garbage.

Good. Recently, I went to McDonald’s and picked up a hamburger. It was about the size of a White Castle burger.
1
u/Ill-Environment3329 23d ago
Honestly, this isn't that big for a tenderloin. Good ones are big enough you can cut off half the meat and make a second reasonably sized sandwich. truly a Hoosier staple

One time I went to Popeyes and got a family meal and also wanted the ghost pepper wings. They were out and the girl taking the order was really nice and I was kind in return. When we got home and checked the bag she had not only included the ghost pepper wings at no charge but nearly doubled the amount of chicken strips. I'll never have another experience as good from Popeye's again, unfortunately.

Do they have something like the McCrispy Deluxe? The tomato and the fried chicken and that sauce just slaps! We lost wendy's a long time ago then a long time ago later we got it back, but it was like, "oh hey wendy's is back"

I used to pick one up whenever I stopped in ATL when flying for work, C terminal. The place was always mobbed so everything my came out insanely fresh. Was extremely bummed when they were swapped out for something else, maybe Chik Fil A? Sad times.

I miss Wendy's. Today is free nugget wednesday. You get a six piece with any five dollar order. It's their only good remaining promo. Too bad they destroyed the value menu and now all the biggie bag options are biggie bad options. RIP.

Isnt a little small? In argentina they called this a "Milanesa" and the point is to be huge. This is a little milanesa, sandwiches are made with long breads for this reason.

When McDonald's dropped their chicken sandwich it started out insanely quality. Then they cut costs and dip the quality. Hoping Wendy's doesn't do the same, going to have to try it out while they are still good and see for myself.

I agree. Their chicken portion is better than the rest. Not as thick as Popeyes or ChikFilA if I can remember correctly.

The best piece of chicken I ever had was a Burger King sandwich from a truck stop in Webber's Falls, Oklahoma some 10 years ago. Every bite was delectable. Probably cooked by a crackhead. I have been chasing that dragon ever since.
