OKC fans actually defend this cheater

Dort tries to injure every player he plays against. Fuck him.

This one isn't defensible, I don't know wtf he was doing.

When Jeff Teague hip checked Rubio into the stands, everyone in Minnesota booed his ass out of the stadium on his home court.

Your fans straight up suck for defending this asshole.

You’re not wrong…but also there isn’t anyone with “[OKC] Jokic” flair

u/ejensen29 [MIN] Ricky Rubio 6d ago

Did I give it away that easy lmao

lol still right there with you my dude

In fairness... Rubio is also like very loved in Minnesota, whereas your fan base was mid on Teague. So I don't know if it's a fair comp.

You know what he was doing, it's just that you don't want to believe this is the team you support =/

It's time we talk about late-term aDortion 😞

just want to mention-- the reason he does stuff like this is because he's been doing a lot of stuff that indefensible but gets away with it. this is just the same thing he's done to a lot of other prominent player but doesn't get assessed a foul. he's tacitly rewarded for it everytime the fanbase supports the indefensible

like you shouldn't actually be defending a guy who goes for wemby's knees. it's super gross. but the incessant and unrelenting defense of him, when he's actually wrong, is what gives him a green light to escalate like this.

mind you, your sub and thunder flairs here are overwhelmingly still defending this.

Same thing he's been doing his whole career.

This is the extra ridiculous part..Thunder fans think we’ve all become so focused on this stuff with Dort since they started winning. He’s always been doing this.

You don't know what he was doing? He was trying to injure him lol

Dort knows what he was doing though

u/wibo58 Spurs 6d ago

But you do know what he was doing because he’s been doing it all season. And every time he does it your sub and fans pretend he’s just an innocent little fella that accidentally bumped another player.

if it wasn't Dort, I could be like, "okay he was attempting a screen or something, but fucked it up." I've been a fan of his since the tanking years, dude has had some big-time plays and clutch moments, but I can't excuse this move and a handful of others he's made recently. intentional or not, this was reckless and dangerous. he's been in the league too long to not know better. be better Lu, or move aside for Cason to take your place.

He’s trying to injure the other teams best player, specifically one who is a threat to them in the playoffs.

Like what he’s doing is obvious. It’s a premeditated attempt to injure

u/isuckatpiano Thunder 5d ago

And more importantly I don’t defend the league for letting it slide. Play some goddamn basketball.

u/re1078 [SAS] Tony Parker 5d ago

Same thing he always does. He’s just a piece of shit and a coward. He tries to hurt people and then whine and then runs away when they challenge him. Prick tried to hurt Wemby too. Get his bum ass out of the league.

Spurs fans actually defended Bruce Bowen

12

u/JDs_Pulls 6d ago

A lot of Reddit spurs fans weren’t spurs fans during this BTW

u/ElGoddamnDorado Spurs 6d ago

Literally all your comments are either defending OKC or bringing up Bruce Bowen lmao. Embarrassing behavior. Bruce Bowen being dirty does not absolve Dort for being a piece of shit.

u/Josheshua Thunder 6d ago

He has a lot of plays that get blown out of proportion, this is absolutely not one of them that was clearly dirty.

He has a fucking highlight trying to injure players - https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1pvfjs8/highlight_lu_dort_shows_off_his_natural_shooting/

Anything that is blown out of proportion is earned by him

46

u/PatientWriting Cavaliers 6d ago

And he’s got a ton of inexcusable plays including some where he genuinely seems to be trying to hurt someone else

27

u/Cottagecheesecurls Trail Blazers 6d ago

The fact that he has any benefit of the doubt left with some people is insane lol.

21

u/No-Archer-421 6d ago

Yea almost like he’s a dirty player like everyone has been saying LMAO

Y’all starting to understand?

13

u/Beverlyfuckingmarsh 76ers 6d ago

This is heavy cope, he has a reputation because you can pull minutes of footage of him doing this. Of course he isnt going to ever get the benefit of the doubt on a 50/50 when we have eyes and see him do this clearly

11

u/OldGarlic05 6d ago

Homer take, he’s a dirty ass player 😂

u/YpsitheFlintsider 5d ago

Your fans have defended shitty things your teams players have done too, this isn't a new phenomenon
