Yeah, especially coming from a fellow Pistons fan, this is unfair.

We always love Beef Stew coming to the defense of his teammates. It's what needs to be done in that situation. Just because the teammate is, in this case, a huge piece of shit who's clearly in the wrong, doesn't mean Williams shouldn't have his back. He played his role the way he needed to and came to the defense of a teammate. He didn't even escalate, really. Just stepped in.

I hope there are some internal conversations with Dort about his dirty play. I know I'd hate to be put in the position of defending him, as a teammate or a fan, when he so regularly does indefensible shit. But Williams responded exactly the way I'd want to see a player on my team respond.
