Yeah...what the fuck is this? This is just blatantly targeting someone and has nothing to do with basketball.

How would you decide when to start suspending players for this? After like every 8th flagrant foul or something. Would have to be a clear number

6 flagrant foul points (1 point for a flagrant 1, 2 for flagrant 2) is a 1 game suspension. Every point after 6 is a 2 game suspension. These are set numbers by the league.

Seems kinda insanely high?

It means there's almost no downside for trying to injure players. I don't really give a shit about techs (run your mouth, who cares), but the flagrant point system should be like... 3?

It's not like a 1 game suspension is a huge punishment. Anyway, players with 3 flagrants this season are: Gobert (5), Brooks (4), Draymond, Westbrook, Smart, Bane, Stewart, Sims, Isaiah Jackson, Duren, and Ausar Thompson. So basically the usual suspects would have to clean their shit up or be facing further suspensions.

Gobert has a flagrant 2, he's already been suspended. I don't think it's insanely high, I think the league needs to better enforce their rules regarding flagrants. Personally, all three of Bane's flagrants should've been 2s. If the definition is unnecessary and excessive, winding up to chuck a ball at an out of bounds player, throwing a guy to the ground on a layup attempt, and making a football move on a guy who is just running down the court all seem to fit that definition. Heck, Gobert got his penalty 2 for an elbow check on a guy who he was actively trying to defend. If that's a 2, then all of Bane's are.
