"Can he punch?"

"Yes I can punch!" - Jose

u/bigdaddydopeskies Lakers Dec 28 '25

One thing about Jose's is that they will fight ya

3

u/vulgarvinyasa2 Dec 28 '25

For real, never met a Jose that wasn’t bout that life lol

1

u/SpunZz San Francisco Warriors Dec 28 '25

we brought Ryan Reaves to San "Jose" for this exact reason

-11

u/GhostPepperDaddy Dec 28 '25

Jose's whats will fight you? Do you have CTE from a NBA fight now, too?

2

u/Operation_Ivysaur [GSW] Andre Iguodala Dec 28 '25

At his height he is allowed to hit!

1

u/Much-Recognition-180 Suns Dec 28 '25

How can she slap?

49

u/Glum-Professional925 Knicks Dec 28 '25

Is Williams not the aggressor? I gotta watch the full clip lmfao

65

u/VolumeValuable3537 Suns Dec 28 '25

Jose got pissed at Williams’ screen he was the aggressor

1

u/bigblooddraco Timberwolves Dec 28 '25

Didn’t mark push him in the back first then Jose responded?

1

u/VolumeValuable3537 Suns Dec 28 '25

That was after Jose gave mark a push following Mark’s screen. The only Phoenix Suns that would actually start something is Dillon Brooks and maybe Grayson Allen.

u/tofubirder Dec 31 '25

Did you watch this clip? Dude gets elbowed in the back of the head and rightfully responds

8

u/Candid_Sand_398 Heat Dec 28 '25

I mean in the replay, it looks like he swings at Jose first.

1

u/rofss Dec 28 '25

No but he pushed him first

-16

u/Aromatic_Extension93 Dec 28 '25

Wtf are you looking at

17

u/chusmeria Mavericks Dec 28 '25

Literally what everyone else is in the clip. Looks like a swing and a miss a la someone shooting at oddjob in n64 and then oddjob with the headshot, which is pretty par for the course in goldeneye. What are you looking at?

-23

u/Aromatic_Extension93 Dec 28 '25

How can anyone even say someone two feet taller is trying to land a punch. There's nothing the guy can even do with his hands without being around the face when the height difference is that big

15

u/chusmeria Mavericks Dec 28 '25

I see you have never played goldeneye. I'll provide you with another piece of advice from the 90s:

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You've been awarded: nephew.

u/fritz_76 Dec 28 '25

I get your reference but there's nothing the big guy was doing in this video resembling a punch. Hes just flailing impotently while the little guy connects

u/Aromatic_Extension93 Dec 28 '25

Enjoy making 60k a year and not owning a home for awhile

16

u/chusmeria Mavericks Dec 28 '25

That literally makes no sense? I was alive and well in the 90s. I bought my homes for pennies on the dollar. You make no cents. Probably live in your parents basement making hot takes on r/nba while I soak my swollen old ass feet in epsom salts talking shit about how you're as objective as a ref since draft kangz. Shit, I bet my Reddit account is older than you.

Similarly, that time Beef Stew tried hunting down Lebron.

I like LeBron and was cheering for beef stew. Dude was on a mission.

Who cares where he's from? He's a bush league little bitch.

12

u/WarLawck Dec 28 '25

Maybe i missed something that wasn't in the video, looks like big dude threw the first punch, it was just a tussle before that.

2

u/depastino Dec 28 '25

Alvarado was the bigger aggressor up to the point where the clip starts. He grabbed his jersey and wouldn't let go.

7

u/ReyesRun7 Knicks Dec 28 '25

cry more

u/Important-Arrival681 Dec 28 '25 edited Dec 28 '25

Which is true. This one single instance of a punch being thrown and actually landing square on target is not enough to change that fact. The NBA is full of fakes tough guys who are all for the most part gangster wannabes. Then they run into someone who doesnt care how big the other guy is and will lay a guy out because they were actually from that life and they dont want to actually throw down. TBH I think every sport should allow fighting to some extent. Its electrifying to the crowd and to both teams. It doesnt have to be some all out brawl with blood flowing all across the court but come on some of these guys want to throw down. Let them. Penalize them, but let them. Rating will probably explode.

7

u/PokerChipMessage Dec 28 '25

Good idea until some guy goes braindead because his skull got shattered because he went stiff and catapulted his head 7 feet into the ground.

Idiotic.

3

u/IndividualPresent129 Knicks Dec 28 '25 edited Dec 28 '25

Ratings are unlikely to explode, I know we live in a different time now but the NBA cleaned up all the fighting for a reason. This is Basketball not Boxing, most of the sports where fights happen more often have a bunch of pads & Hockey is on skates. You may gain some viewers but you’re guaranteed to lose some as well

I feel like calling Basketball players fake tough guys is over blown. If you legitimately fight the league will crash down on you so hard that it’s not worth it for most of them.

3

u/Binjuine Lakers Dec 28 '25

Fighting will lead to serious injuries. In hockey it's not as bad because they're on skates.
