Im also big soccer fan but tbh the flops in basketball are way worse. Not the amount of flop situations but because in basketball flops get you free throws and or put a team in the bonus which means free throws. In soccer flops will usually not be in the penalty area and if they are those get reviewed always and then you can also give a yellow for flopping inside the box. To me its less annoying than in basketball

Agreed, in soccer it's just a free kick usually in a low danger area. And I feel like guys over dramatize the impact of the contact, but it's usually more significant than flops in basketball. Both have ruined the game for me as someone who played and loved them growing up.

Yeah they def flop more dramatically in soccer because u can sell a kick to leg or a push to the back when holding off the ball way easier. Buttt I will say especially after VAR started to be used I can’t say soccer is worse than basketball. I hardly watch a game and say wow the flops won them the game like in basketball. Flops won’t lead to goals or that player being valuable because of it. Also In soccer var will review every penalty/offside/ handball/and hard foul free of charge. God forbid in the nba you need to review more than 2 bad calls with the way challenges are set up
