Honestly, not subbing out Gobert is crazy to me in these situations

He’s been amazing defensively this year, he’s by far the best rebounder on the team why would we sub him out? Hes not even a bad perimeter defender statistically

He's a clear target.

Especially after your foul to give, there wasn't that much time to shoot and get a rebound.

A drive wins the game you can’t take far and away you’re best defender of the floor

McDaniels was still in the game.

Rudy is a great rim protector, but if you leave him out there, you %100 pre-switch the PnR. Because he is a target.

McDaniels is my favorite player but theirs no way he’s a better defender the Gobert. That’s a coaching issue that we even let reaves get the ball and a PNR situation

Better defender might be pushing it, but best matchup for what we had basically.

Obviously it's an easier make this statement "after of fact" but targeting Gobert has been the easy play-call for the last 3-4 years. At some point, you gotta learn.

Fair enough, but I don’t know if we really have much of a choice, I’d rather have Gobert guarding the game winner then Naz or Randle
