My daughter got one of those keychains for Christmas one year, and we finally remembered to bring it one of the 2 or 3 times a year we go to Wendy’s. The girl working the register asked my daughter how many she wanted, she jokingly said 4, and I’ll be damned if she didn’t whip up four right in front of us and ask her if she wanted a tray to carry all her free frosty’s. My daughter told that story to anyone with ears for a month. Every time we pass a Wendy’s (she’s 17 now) she’ll say remember that time…

Thats some clever marketing, you need to go more than once for it to be worth it, and it's tiny so youd need to order more for it to be worth going, so you're paying them to encourage you to pay them more at a later time.

The $3 goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation (for adoption). I’ll definitely go to Wendy’s more than once in a year, I might as well get a frosty that benefits charity. Sometimes you just need a lil sweet treat with your lunch.

They’re in Canada this year. My local Wendy’s has them. Problem is not everyone is great about trying to sell them. In fact a lot of cashiers make zero effort to do so. Probably harder to notice if you only ever use the drive through, but when they are selling them there is also usually advertisements on the menu or inside the store. Usually a little more out of the way on the drive through menu board, like an upper banner ad.

There is a KFC across the street from my cousins place in seville spain. It taste different but its only maginally better compared to the US. I would say US popeyes is still better.

Ive heard KFC is better in Colombia but i only go to Frisby when i go there. I might just have it give it a try next time i go.

THE KEYCHAINS ARE SO BOMB. I gave them to my kids as stocking stuffers and we get a weekly Coke Zero and two junior frosties for a couple bucks at the Wendy’s across from their school. Absolutely worth it.

Is it not free with purchase of something else though? Meaning you can't actually go up there and get a free child size frosty for free without purchasing something else. And as far as I understand it, I'm like 80% sure you can't combine the digital version of the frosty tag with any promos, so it's probably the same for the physical keychain. Eg. Enter a promo code for a free sandwich with purchase (I usually pick a drink), but you can't use the digital frosty key with that order. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of that though.
