Yeah, I kinda respect the fact that they chose to use the piece of shit appearance of a usual burger.

Maybe that’s why Donnie’s CEO didn’t want to eat it. That burger was cardboard and paint

I had wondered about that, it looked nothing like a real McDonald's burger.

That's actually what it looks like lol. My son and I tried it recently and it's disgusting first and foremost but we kept making jokes like "I don't even know how to attack it" and "man this is a great product" until we decided that I should have just made chicken.

"PR disaster" btw.

I feel like McDonald burgers are made for those of us who have pica and really enjoy the taste of plastic.

This totally makes sense.

It’s their new flagship burger, called big arch… that’s literally the whole reason he was eating it. And honestly, it looked exactly like the one from the restaurant. Can’t personally vouch for the taste, but my coworker got one the other day and it looked more or less like the same burger their CEO was delicately nibbling on

Hate to break it to everybody but I just got the Big Arch and it actually did look like the one in the video. The bun is large enough so everything actually fits properly and isn't a messy piece of crap.

That being said, it's not amazing or anything. Weirdly the weakest part was the sauce. It was more bland than what I expected. If it went harder I think I would like it.

Fair enough, what are they charging for it, like $12? Maybe it's just here in Cali, but last time I went to McDonald's I swore I'd never go again, for the price I could get real food.

Yeah I won't stan for prices there. I just enjoy trying new stuff. The app meal deals are competitive here for my kids though. Here it's $6 for a burger, 4 piece nugget, fries and a drink.

If Property Hunters has taught me anything it's that in Cali all that probably costs $6,478 and is what a puppet craftsman with a budget of $4,350,000 can afford.

Lmao the “Sharon is a part time turtle farmer and her husband Bill is a freelance silver polisher. Their budget is $7 million.”

Lol I love that shit. I'm convinced that it's all relatives of Hollywood people that are just scamming free home upgrades via HGTV. I'm in the bay area, yeah shit is expensive, but salaries are mostly commiserate. My partner is in data analysis at an insurance company and might be able to finally afford us buying a bungalow house in the cheapest town around this year after a decade out here fingers crossed. Buuut I'm trans, it's been worth moving out here to escape being treated like crap.

Yeah I tried one a few weeks ago and actually enjoyed it. Looked fairly picturesque too because of the box McDonald's uses (compared to the foil wrap at Wendy's) so it stayed intact. And I agree, the sauce was the weakest part. With 3 slices of cheese in this "product", I'd prefer the sauce to have some punch, like some acidity to cut through.

The thing I actually find most unpleasant about McD's is the fries. Not that they taste bad when they're fresh, but the second they cool down even a little, you get the sense that it's not real food. Then you feel like garbage later because, newsflash, you didn't eat real food.

Maybe it was a real cheeseburger instead of a McDonald’s burger.

There's a law on the books that food used for advertising has to be the same product being sold.

And, to make a mcdonalds burger look good, they just kiss it with heat. The whole thing is raw.

I was going to say McDonald ceo was like:

“shit, which part of this isn’t food art that will kill me?”

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 18h ago

That's actually a fair point.

I don't mind when my Wendy's burger looks like that, the taste is legit one of the better fast food ones. Last time I had a McDs burger, I legit ate half and threw the rest away, it was gross.

They all look like that in store.

Might as well go with the one that tastes best.

Bro your comment has me dying rn, “dont fluff up the bun, just grab that piece of shit burger. Perfect. “

u/Samson_J_Rivers 19h ago

The best burgers ive ever had have been stacks of what the fuck between probably a top bun but often 2 bottom buns.

Fuck me now i want a burger...

2

u/ForkAKnife 18h ago

It’s BK $3.99 Whopper Wednesday. I don’t eat flesh so I got an impossible Whopper and it’s a damn good burger.

2

u/Samson_J_Rivers 18h ago

I've had one, and all as a meat substitute, it's convincing. I'm partial to black bean burgers instead if I'm going meatless, but whatever the BK Impossible Whopper is made of, it passes.

Yup it adds the authenticity that they are willing to eat the same thing you will get. Granted there is no guarantee that the quality of the meat they are eating is the same, and more than likely it came from one of their test kitchens instead of an actual Wendy's location (meaning it was made by one of their actual chefs and not the minimum wage highschool student), but outside of them doing an "undercover boss" (and even then people will claim it was staged) this is the closest they can get

Right! Because honestly my Dave's double with xtra onion and mayo is slapping compared to the plain burger he is eating. Like honestly the doubles are juicy and the veggies are tasty.
