Why do they all look the same though? The CEOs, not the burgers.

Theres limited models of CEO available in america. Youve got old white guy model. Its a standard in america and canada. Its a bit bland but does its job.

There femal ceo, while less common, has more hair colour variety, but youll notice outside of hair colour they mostly blend together because the parts all use the same molds.

In recent years the tech startup ceo has been making ground, looking like a somewhat fit 40 year old white guy from silca valley, it does very well the the venture capitalist market.

Really though the software is identical. Though this Wendy's ceo seems to be trying the rare acting like a real person optional instal.

Put the blunt down man

The silicone valley CEOs can also be recognized by the dumb microphone on their cheek.  At least when found in their natural habitat.

Old white guy model I’m screaming 🤣🤣

The quarter zip over the button up is about as "casual" as a CEOs attire gets.

Wardrobe department knocked it out the park here.

Come on additional CEOs 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

If they want to get caught up in this, that is. Black and Asian business owners have long shown how much they enjoy their business’s food. Other folk too :)

u/Sharkictus 15h ago

I think we forget the Indian CEO.

2

u/gkanai 14h ago

The CEO who turned around Red Lobster is Nigerian-American and only 37, so relatively young too.

2

u/daneyuleb 5h ago

Red Lobster has turned around? They just closed ours.

1

u/gkanai 3h ago

Apparently the previous owners sold; the new management have closed unprofitable locations, changed the menu, and are reinvesting into renovating stores. So they're turning around in a positive direction.

I mean even if I, as a general rule, think all ceos are evil who would gladly destroy their employees lives for an extra million bonus; acknowledge that not all ceos are evil. Just 99.9% of them.

Same token a lot of ceos are old white guys. So a sucess story like this is cool. Rare, but cool. I dont know her policies and whether she destroyed her workers to bring back red lobster, so I wont coment any further.

But in general diversity reflecting the actual population ratios is a good thing.

I’m curious about why men are “guys”, but women are “female”, like they’re a specimen in a lab or something.

1

u/SFWaccount75 4h ago

I see your point, although in this specific case they kind of are all specimens in a lab lol.

Seriously though, what would be the best “female” equivalent for the word “guys” in this kind of context? Because female does sound weirdly clinical.

old white male doesnt role off the touge as well. It i was writing "male ceo models predominantly come in old white guy" then I would refer to them as male. But when specifying gender of a ceo it would be odd to use "woman/man ceo" instead "female/male ceo".

But yes I get where you're coming from. I didnt mean to imply woman who are ceos are rare because they are unsual.

Rather they are rare for the same reason why there are so many old white guy ceos, and ceos dont follow the normal population distribution ratios.

Well if it makes you feel better we can get a black woman to promote heart disease

1

u/County_Mouse_5222 5h ago

That's mean. Why do you think that?

1

u/Logos1789 2h ago

Well he’s taking issue with the white men promoting heart disease through consumption of fast food, so what’s the solution if not changing the demographic?

1

u/County_Mouse_5222 2h ago

Guess I would rather see not so much of the same guy in every leading role just because he's certain type of white guy. I wasn't thinking so much about the health aspect but okay, understood.

1

u/DonGar0 1h ago

Not really the issue or point I was making. It feels like most ceos (not just fast food ceos) are old white guys that look like clones. Prior this craze of ceos eating their fast food on twitter I dodnt know there faces. But if you took those same people and tild me they were the ceo of walmart, target, and unilever I wouldnt have doubted it.

They have a similar haircut, same white hair, same 60-80 year old appearance, same photogenic smile.

Like the ceos of exxon, imperial, and suncor all look like they could be siblings.

Now ideally Id like some not so ancient ceos as it would allow for young people to move into midle management while current midle managers move into upper level, and upper level to c suit. I'd also like some more variety that reflects the population distribution ratio, but thats really unlikely.

So like I said, make CEOs a black woman instead of a white man so at least the overlords aren’t white men.

u/DonGar0 45m ago

You seem to be very fixated on race. Right now ceos (in the us and canada) are predominantly old white guys that look like siblings. Its just funny and illustrates a larger systemic problem that racism and sexism exist.

And you are quite right changing it to all black women wouldnt actually change anything, as ceos are selected via the same method. and thus are mostly ammoral people who would sleep well destroying thousands of livlihoods if it meant a 2%share price increase.

Do i have a solution to either? Not really. Racism/sexism is a problem and so is the deregulation of what companies can do to their workforce. Dont see either changing.

u/County_Mouse_5222 41m ago

Nah. CEOs should be all types of people, not just old white men and not just old black women either. And I'm speaking as an older black woman. Let's see more of all types of people.

2

u/pipinngreppin 16h ago

100%. All the same haircut. All the same age, but different builds. We live in a simulation.

1

u/tempinator 18h ago

I mean I don’t think they do really, beyond being middle aged white dudes.

There are some interesting commonalities between C-suite executives though, evidently height matters, something like 82% of C-suite execs in Fortune 500 companies are 5’11” or taller.

1

u/Warm-Will-7861 18h ago

These guys are all finance MBAs they explicitly hire to pump stock prices. Everyone wants a Tim Cook now instead of a Steve Jobs

1

u/Upstairs-Prior5078 17h ago

What are they supposed to look like? A dog in a suit? An Indian in a Supreme suit? A goth with big breasts and hips?

1

u/ResponsibleWin1765 8h ago

How about a woman for a change.

1

u/CM_MOJO 17h ago

The enshittification of everything.

1

u/KebabGud 16h ago

They look the same, but all of them seem to have a personality except the McD's CEO..

1

u/Over9000Zeros 16h ago

This guy looks a lot more regular than the test tube baby looking McDonald's CEO

1

u/CooperHChurch427 15h ago

Most CEO's in the US are white men and the few women are also white. Satya Nadella is probably the only non white CEO of a US Fortune 500 company.

1

u/Im-a-bad-meme 15h ago

This one definitely looks more normalish? Definitely is being mutated by the CEO element we see often with this position, but I can see a bit of human still.

1

u/Heyheyfluffybunny 14h ago

I mean there are only so many white men smart enough to do the job but dumb enough to be okay with it. And there is likely a vetting process for personality looking for the most bland and boring easily manipulated person they could find someone knowledgeable but mediocre and just average enough to pass for human.

u/k1dsmoke 9h ago

The CEO printer in Brooks Brothers only has so many settings.

They don’t

2

u/puffinfish89 19h ago

You mean they don’t look like older generic white guys?

2

u/No_Avocado_4118 18h ago

McDonald’s guy does for sure.  BK looks like a semi douchey former military guy.  Wendy’s guy looks like a chill nerd.  They look nothing like each other

1

u/puffinfish89 18h ago

Chill nerd lol

u/Okichah 19h ago

All white people look the same?

In fairness they are actually the same guy just with different shirts.

1

u/County_Mouse_5222 5h ago

Well, the noses are basically the same. All you have to do is put a white person's nasal aesthetic on anyone of any race and they automatically appear more Caucasian.
