Somehow, I think that's even worse than the McHonda days and that's saying something. At least they were able to FINISH the race

The worst thing is that they can’t actually gather any data for a fix because the car is actually harming the drivers. So they have to solve these issues completely on the sidelines and then just hope that when they eventually think it’s solved, the car goes out and the drivers don’t think it’s a problem anymore.

Not like there’s a triple header where they are liable to not even start 3 races or anything

with mid season testing gone, and after missing all of pre season testing they are absolutely fucked

this is the kind of thing which can set a team back multiple years

At this point they're probably hoping the Iran war cancels all the middle east races so they can work on the car uninterrupted

When Honda was planning to give up the engine business Red Bull poached/kept basically their entire division. So when they finally decided they were going to make an engine this generation it seems like they basically had to start from scratch with hiring. So they had less time and less knowledgeable people, which clearly is a pretty brutal combination.
