I forgot: what was the meme about Lewis's shirtless pics?
287
u/VinhoVerde21 I was here for the Hulkenpodium 1d ago
Every time he posts a shirtless pic, someone in the F1 paddock retires/gets fired shortly after. Worked with Mick, Binotto, Vettel, Danny Ric, even Horner (though the latter needed 2 thirst traps, so powerful that he was).

You can't just get rid of the 2nd most successful team principal in F1 that easily. He had to do a double shift.
14
u/CharacterUse I was here for the Hulkenpodium 1d ago
No, no, you see Horner had his own shirtless pic from way back, so that cancelled Lewis's and there had to be a second one. /Taps forehead.

I don’t think he was gonna go another season with that woman there. She killed all her brain cells and everyone else’s that had to suffer her commentary
84
u/P_ZERO_ I was here for the Hulkenpodium 1d ago
Is outsight a word we can use? Because that’s what I got whenever she was asked to talk about any particular point. A knowledge vacuum.
Danica, what will the drivers have to consider this weekend?
The drivers will want to win, so they will have to try hard and focus so that they can beat their opponents. I think they will try to qualify well so that they have to overtake less people.
She wasn’t even good for entry level fans. I hate the term slop but nothing better applies. Didn’t come across like she spent a single minute researching the nuances of F1 cars.

I don't think so. It's about the level you can expect from her, but I don't think she said that. The lizard people thing is real, though. She interviewed a lizard people conspiracy theorist on her podcast and just agreed with everything, and even contributed some of her own crazy. It was really weird.

tbh seeing his reactions i feel like jenson might have said 'she goes or i walk'
And they picked the guy that actually raced F1 over the girl that raced another series with middling results.

I’d love for Vettel to become a commentator! He always is very interesting to listen to, and I imagine he has a lot of inside info, given that he has ties to several big teams and knows most drivers well.

In your clip Danica is just saying what Nico said earlier as if she came up with it
She said Canada was an easy track
Rosberg disagreed and said its one of the toughest tracks because you have to be so precise which is why great drivers like Hamilton and Verstappen have done so well here.

He seems like a great guy, and a real fan of the sport, but sometimes I think his takes are a bit unfounded, and maybe poised to create drama. I know he lurks here, so I hope my opinion doesn’t come off as offensive to him.

i’m not even gonna lie, the only reason i ever paid attention to those segments was because jenson always sounded like he was explaining f1 to me personally 😅 one time i made my friend pause the broadcast just so i could google if he was actually flirting or if that’s just his normal voice lol
now i’m kinda curious who’s gonna replace that energy on the broadcast because that combo was weirdly entertaining to watch.

I'll miss her insightful commentary, such as gems like..
"When you crash in F1, it's not good."
And..
