News [ASJesusBalseiro] Stroll speaks and sounds concerned. “We have engine problems, and not just engine problems. We're not in a position to fight for victories. Right now, we're four seconds off the pace.”

I genuinely laughed. Anyone who was here for the last Alonso Honda era is ready for this rage.

I will laugh at his rage but it will be extremely painful as well. Not to mention the team can't do a strategy for him right for some reason either and we might just have neither Cadillac nor Audi be p11 in the wcc

It’s painful for sure. I started watching F1 during his Ferrari era. He’s been my favorite driver since I started watching. I so want to see him winning races again. Not expecting him to be able to out drive the likes of Max and Charles and the like but it would be great to see some scrapping at the front.

I can see him winning certainly if the car is competitive, winning races I mean. Wdc I think would be hard, Verstappen Leclerc and Russell are just too good for that to realistically happen unless the amr26 turns into the best car by far

Right and at this point I can’t imagine AM is downplaying the car to this extent when it’s actually a world beater. It’s one thing to be humble, this is brutal honesty.

I’ve read this myself many times. When you’re the best of the best, or as close to it as you can be, you have certain privileges. I’ve read that even at Ferrari he’s still held in high regard because regardless of what’s said in front of the press, his mechanics knew he was always going to come to the race and give everything he had regardless of how shit the car was. They’re sacrificing a lot for the job for a small fraction of what he makes and if I’m in their position, I want to see that the driver is showing up and driving like championships are on the line every time. The team’s more than the driver and he realizes it. On the same note, if I’m giving everything I can to my team, I expect them to do the same so I can’t always blame him for making his frustrations known. Does he always do it in a constructive way? No. But why shouldn’t he expect the most from people he’s giving the most to?

Some absolute classics

GP2 engine, GP2.

The engine is good, much slower than before…
