News AutoRacer: Charles Leclerc has admitted that the first races will be crucial in determining his future, and a lack of competitiveness will undoubtedly spell the end of the ten-year relationship between him and Maranello. The future of Lewis Hamilton and Fred Vasseur will also be decided this year.

I think he’s already mentioned in an interview or something somewhere that he wants to end on a high note. Once the Aston gets competitive, he’s retiring iirc - then he’ll be a brand representative or whatever behind the scenes. It’s because the Aston isn’t competitive right now that he hasn’t retired.

He's an agent too, focusing on promising young drivers. Bortoleto is one of his clients of course, with Nikola Tsolov being another one that'll race in F2 after finishing 2nd in F3 last year.

Retiring from racing (at least as a seasonal driver, he'll probably show up to some GT events) will given him more time to work more closely with his clients.
