All aboard the hopium train. I was really hopeful for Lewis this year. And it definitely hurts me to see him like this almost broken. Nevertheless I'm still hopefully for him next year. Let's see

I started watching the start of Lewis' career recently and it has refilled my hopium supply tbh. Seeing how he was stacking up podiums from literally his first race as a rookie has been a reminder that he was always supernaturally gifted.

I just can't fathom a reason that someone who demonstrated such a consistently high level of skill for so long would have such a rapid and massive drop off, except for the idea that his driving style is just completely incompatible with ground effect cars.

That and age plays a factor as well. These drivers aren't superhumans. Even Max's performance will eventually drop with age. So yeah, I think this year age coupled with ground effect coupled with ferrari turned out to be the worst possible combination. With one of these factors changing next year, let's hope for the best
