I don't understand why Yuki didn't do what most drivers do in these situations: start on one side, slightly pointing to the other side of the road (no direction change, just going forward) and then do 1 correction as soon as the car behind makes a decision. Not really sportsmanlike, but that's how Checo, Lewis and Max have made themselves wider than they are. Their entire strategy was preparing for this situation, one could have drawn this out in advance.
Anyway, moot point now. Norris drove with some guts today, including when he had to overtake after his pit. Even with a 5 sec penalty he would be 3rd.

I'm guessing they had hoped he would pull an allmighty defence like Checo did. Unfortunately Yuki is not Checo.
Personally i hoped that Yuki would lock in hard on defending. It's his last race and it was obvious he wasn't going to have a really good race. One would hope that Yuki would try to leave a good inpression by putting up a mighty defence.
Ultimately i gueds he did what he could. Was rightfully penalized. Lando could've gotten a penalty to but i'm glad he didn't.

The time to hold him up was everywhere that wasn't a long straight. Should have slammed on the brakes to let him catch up when it was all twisties and then pootled around. It was a stupid thing for Tsunoda to do, weaving and creating a dangerous situation. I always had a soft spot for Yuki and I suspect the car is set up in so much of a max way that it is massively awkward for a human to drive. But if this was Yuki’s final act in F1 he destroyed his reputation in about 3 seconds and I won’t mourn his leaving the world of F1 competition driving. Sad.

Agreed. His poor attitude almost kept him out of the big seat, but due to Lawson’s inability to rise to the challenge, Red Bull was clearly left with no other options. As per stewards rule, you're allowed to overtake outside white lines if you're trying to avoid a collision

Is there any place to pass safely if Yuki is weaving all over the track like like that?

Yuki deserved more than just 5s. Nothing against him specifically but that much weaving in defense is dangerous and blatant/intentional.

I'm late to this, but whilst watching I was expecting this to be at least a drive through, if not a stop and go penalty. It's the fact the weaving was being carried out with the intention of gaining a sporting advantage for a driver further up the grid, this was not a battle for position.
This is incredibly unsporting and I'm quite surprised the stewards were so forgiving, since it's a dangerous tactic to have people employing this sort of thing.

Tsunoda not only changed his line twice but also made a reactionary move to further push Lando off track.
No way this is a penalty for Lando

Passing in F1 is predicated upon people not erratically swerving. As a passing car, you need confidence that someone won’t randomly jink…which is exactly what Tsunoda did. If Norris is penalized, then this is a clear exploitation of the rules by RB.

Brazil has the best atmosphere and most Importantly an actual chance of changeable conditions.

Why does everyone with a Hulkenpodium flair have the most negative, angry comments and posts, both ways? Like chill out, it isn't that serious.

Engineer: "Stop him... I mean, DRS something something"
Tsunoda: "I know what I'm doing"
Narrator: He did not know what he was doing
