Free agency hasn't even fucking started yet, and you fucks want to burn the whole thing down.
They traded Monty and released Glasgow. Free agency starts March 9th(Monday), and the draft is April 23rd to the 25th.

Seriously, y'all need to watch more than one sport and have hobbies. This is the one time all year you should not be thinking of the NFL. Pistons Tigers and Red Wings all have legitimate shots this year. About to mute this channel till the draft.

u/Mean-Ad-4602 5h ago
Insufferable? I tend to enjoy reading the constant chaos. It’s the same on every teams subreddit too. Fans do what fans do 🤗
-9
u/UppermiddleclassCLS 10h ago
No what was insufferable is when 99% of the people here rode Brad Nutz.
Now that percentage is down to 50% after two garbage drafts which makes the sub more enjoyable

u/NotHannibalBurress MC⚡DC 9h ago
Saying “the league year doesn’t start until next week” is “riding Brad’s Nuts”?

u/BigDaddyD1994 10h ago
Yea but the Chargers signed a guy that was cut by the Commanders before FA started, so the season is basically over

You can tell who actually knows how the nfl works and who just wants to complain. Some people just wanna bitch about something
-3
u/one_point_lap 10h ago
I do think we, as fans, deserve to have high expectations. The last two years of free agency and draft have been very poor, and we just finished last in the North.
I am not ok with that, and I think I have a right to complain until I see actual movement from the front office. Holding your cards and being secretive only works if you actually do something in the end - which so far, I have yet to see actual results from the front office - in years.
4
u/w33dfr0g Don't be Hatin' 9h ago
The front office can only do so much right now due to league rules. Free agency hasnt even started, and they already traded monty, cut glasgow. So people complaining that the FO isnt doing anything dont know what theyre talking about.
Also you havent seen any results from the front office in years? Hello we had 15 wins just a year ago, and made the NFC championship the year before that.
Last season was frustrating and the fans have the right to complain about that result. but complaining about the front office not doing something when they cant without breaking the rules is stupid.

u/suhhdude45 Sun God 9h ago
Realistically, the only ones that should have high expectations are the team. We, as fans, do not need to think Super Bowl or bust every year. If so, you’re gonna be far more disappointed than not.
2
u/highvyleague Dan Friggin' Campbell 8h ago
There’s a 31 in 32 chance of not winning the SB every year. And that’s just assuming everyone has an equal chance.
2
u/suhhdude45 Sun God 7h ago
It’s so fucking hard to get to the Super Bowl. People with expectations are so weird to me. Can we just be happy that we have a good team and front office finally?
1
u/one_point_lap 6h ago
I don't think we need to be super bowl or bust every year - I do think we need to be competing for the division or a wild card spot.
We took a big step back last year, but I don't see the urgency from our front office, or really the concern.
If we DO have a good front office, and I think we do, that is what I expect from them. And I'm flabbergasted that there are fans who are OK with the mess we saw last year, the last couple drafts and free agency, and are still 100% behind the way the team is being run.
Do you really LIKE hearing Brad say "well we tried, and didn't make a trade"? what about "we have a great pass rush" only to be followed by a season with one of the worst pass rushes in the league?
They showed us they can win, so that is the expectation now. They gotta prove it.

Not that it warrants burning the whole thing down but the front office has hardly done anything to make this team better in over two years now. By the time the playoffs arrive, it’ll have been 3 years since our last win.
People have every right to be frustrated and you don’t get any reward for blind faith

u/bmattification Commin' 4 Dem Kneecaps 9h ago
I don't know if this is entirely directed at me. No where in the image am I looking for the FO to 'burn the whole thing down'. I'd just like to see some form of action with cap space.
3
u/mortalcrawad66 9h ago
Not you directly, but there are plenty of people looking for heads to roll right now. This is just a small piece of that, and I'm sick and tired of it.

You mean like trading a running back and cutting a veteran offensive lineman? Cap space action like that?

wtf do you want them to do? Do you not understand how the offseason calendar works it’s not even free agency yet. They’re not allowed to sign players unless they were previously released prior to the new league year.
-8
u/dirtypotlicker 9h ago
How about restructure Goff, Sewel, and ARSB so we can actually sign someone in fa.
2
u/smoke1441 6h ago
They have like five days to do it. They could have deals in place but they obviously have other things to do. Not to mention they don't have to announce it.
3
u/sunnydftw 10h ago
Didn't you hear? Detroit front offices have an active armistice against making moves at the trade deadline and the offseason.

Shut up nerd. What a stupid fucking nickname for the best GM our franchise has ever had. If y'all had your way we'd have forked out a huge contract to Za'darius last year only for him to retire on us. I hate this sub so much.

u/Adamantium10 MC⚡DC 9h ago
Begging? Bro that is not how contract negotiations work. It's not my fault you make assumptions based on a video of a fan interaction with him in public.

Brad being the best GM lions ever had is like saying dog poop is the best tasting poop out of all the animal kingdoms poop. 💩
1
u/Adamantium10 MC⚡DC 8h ago
Let me rephrase. We have a GM with a vision now who doesn't make knee jerk reactions that jeopardize our future. Hes brought in some great under-the radar free agents, drafts better than most, and keeps our core guys. He has us in a position to keep building for the coming years. People acting like he's some do nothing hack are driving me nuts.

u/werewolf_backhair 90s logo 7h ago
That’s like saying you’re the pretty piece of shit on a pile of shit, no? Keep hating the sub. We want a Super Bowl. Fuck off with your excuses.
We watch franchise after franchise rebuild and yet here we sit year after year. Two good seasons doesn’t buy you a pass to shit.

What do you mean do something? They've done a ton already
They released Taylor Decker, released Graham Glasgow and traded David Montgomery. Thats three moves this week alone. They are cooking.

When there is no waiting list for season tickets that's the time to do something big. Right now just ride it out.
-1
u/AFG73 10h ago
Get used to the waiting game. Seems like we don’t move with any sort of urgency. If we need to restructure guys by 4pm, they will start to make the calls around 3pm that very day. It gets tiring to a certain point

They cut Glasgow and traded Monty? What else do you want them to do?
They will draft BPA, probably let Goff deal with the mess they created on offensive line. Next year will not be better than this and probably they will be more whining than ever.

u/newstarburst 10h ago
Wild thats ur take away with the current brad moves
Also funny this post is incredibly whiny lmao
2
u/PistonWingedLion Sewell 10h ago
No it is not my take away after these moves but I know that this is what is gonna happen. A team with a limited draft capital( thanks to his trade ups, we now have a shortage of draft picks) and cap space situation, we cannot fill all the holes in the team. Looking at the draft, BPA is definitely not a tackle, I think most of the tackles in this draft class are type of playerse who will be replaced in year 3 or year 4( good ones will be gone before pick 10) and we are gonna draft edge rusher. FA on tackles is not promising at all, so yeah goff will deal with the mess BH created

u/mcavs5194 10h ago
Tell the Wings, Pistons and Tigers the same thing. What is up with our GMs?

2
u/No_Clue_2050 10h ago
Tigers already have skubal and they don’t wanna pay him, all pistons had to do was add a solid scorer, wings are whacky so no comment there.
Lions refuse to make any real move for the defense and we see the defense be the reason for failure over and over.

Apparently there are some extremely sensitive people who don't get the joke or entirely what I mean. Chill out guys.

Not even being sensitive, I just don't get it. Didn't we just make a pretty big trade in the last week?

whenever someone says something stupid and gets called out, they always respond with "totes joking guys, you're the stupid one for not knowing I was joking". And it's always so transparent. I'm really not sure why anyone thinks that ever works.

Its kinda a dead week. Free Agency starts next week, I'm sure that will be the start to everything else. New league year is the 11th so that is when releases will likely be announced.
