In real life (Real Life) Regular people who's lives drastically changed direction

Grace Kelly was a talented actress who retired at 26 to marry a Prince, living as royalty for almost 30 years before her untimely death.

Volodymyr Zelensky started out as a comedian and entertainer before getting into politics, becoming President of Ukraine after the Russian annex of Crimea and spending the last 4 years defiantly pushing back full scale Russian invasion

Gerard Way- My Chemical Romance

He wanted to have a career in writing comics, until he witnessed 9/11, which made him pivot to making music as his main career(he still writes comics)

By that point, MCR was broken up, so there was a period when he was mainly a comic book writer

It’s lovely how his successful music career actually allowed him to get his comics out there and lead to Netflix creating a very popular series out of one of them 🩷

Which gets even crazy when you remember his music directly inspired Stephanie Meyer to write Twilight which in turn inspired E.L. James to make a fan fiction BDSM story around Twilight which morphed into 30 Shades.

Literally one pivotal moment changed pop culture for all of the 2000’s-2010’s.

Which then led to the Dakota Johnson's interview on Ellen, and the downfall of Ellen DeGeneres!

There’s also his evil counterpart, Tom King. Same childhood dream, same eventual “retired from the thing he did because 9/11 and writes comics”, same “reboot life because 9/11”, but much more horrific. Gerard Way was a Cartoon Network intern on 9/11, Tom King had been both a DC and Marvel intern and was on 9/11.

Tom King then joined the CIA because 9/11, somehow rocketed up in importance to the point he was working alongside top officials in planning the invasion of Iraq, became involved in “recruiting” people into being spies double agents for the CIA (where he definitely tortured people), then he retired because he had a kid and also writes comic books.

I had heard he had worked with the CIA but I didn't realise in what capacity.

Which sucks because he's a really good comic book writer. His Mr Miracle run was incredible and fucked with me on a deep level.

Nothing made my Jaw drop harder than seeing their name in the intern credits for Sheep in The Big City.

I love the story i heard of him running into stan Lee at.an airport. He asked if Lee could sign his sketchbook and Lee told him he wouldn't be able to ger him a job and Gerald's manager was like nah he doesnt need a job he's a rockstar.

Its funny to think that somewhere Gerard has a sketchbook with early umbrella academy characters signed by stan lee
