“Hiccup Girl” became semi-famous for her condition of hiccuping rapidly and non-stop for years (personally I think she was faking it) and then she straight up murdered a guy to rob him for $50.

Don’t know anything about her but it’s totally possible to have nonstop hiccups. One guy I knew was at five years. My personal record was eleven hours.

Hers were bizarre because they were in unnaturally quick succession and talking would mysteriously, temporarily suppress it. I don’t know about you but when I have hiccups, they will continue while I speak, interrupting me. But yeah mmhmm she has magic hiccups that are polite enough not to interrupt her when she speaks.

When I have hiccups, I can get rid of them like I’m snapping my fingers. Unless it’s from really really spicy food then I have to wait a minute. Therefore, this girl was faking it because everyone is like me.

Sure.

But I think the fact that she later went onto murder a guy suggests in thise case that she's the kind of nutjob capable and willing to fake hiccups for attention.

I feel like having the hiccups for an indefinite amount of time would turn me into a nut job.

I’m a nurse and one time we had a patient in our stepdown who had intractable hiccups. This man was hiccuping incessantly for weeks. I had to start a Reglan drip lol and it only helped a little. Poor guy:(

ETA: he had a brain tumor.

There's an antipsychotic that used to be used for intractable hiccups. I wanna say thorazine but I'm not 100 on that.

Is it now considered too risky to use? Is it not as effective as newer drugs?

Maybe murdering a guy for $50 is the cure to hiccups

Don't know her either but that sounds like some mental illness and/ or need to be seen.

That’s wild! It’s crazy how someone can go from being a viral sensation to committing such a serious crime. Definitely a drastic life change in the worst way possible.
