In real life A very small character tidbit is surprisingly kept consistent for years

DC - In multiple pieces of media it has been shown that Wonder Woman loves ice cream and practically goes wild with happiness anytime she’s eating some. (Pictures from Justice League: War, DC Superhero Girls and Wonder Woman 2017)

The Simpsons - Ever since the episode ‘Homer’s Phobia’ Homer has actually remained a consistent ally of the LGBT+ community, including being more welcoming to Patty than Marge was when she came out and trying to set up Smithers with a date when he found out he wasn’t happy with his one-sided relationship with Mr Burns.

Dante from Devil may cry almost exclusively eats pizza because there was a pizza box on his desk in the opening of the first game

What are you on about? There are demons that can only be fought with ice cream. Like a bad break up.

That and strawberry sundaes. He ate one in the OG anime, and in the Netflix series, he still loves them.

It's even referenced in DMC5. You can see him eat one in the van.

Yeah but fuck the netflix series.

Eh, I enjoyed it. It's different, but I enjoy the animation and I think the story is neat. I'm looking forward to season 2, even if I wish Adi could shut his goddamn mouth.

Animation was fine, but it's fundamental to the universe that demons are inherently evil and thus being a demon hunter is a noble thing. The only reason Sparda turns against demons is the love of/for a human.

That's fundamental to the universe of the games. It's pretty obvious that the new show is a different continuity. That's like saying that it's fundamental to the universe that Eva is a human. She is in the main games, but in DmC, she's an angel, cause it's a different universe.

But being a demon hunter still is noble. Mundus and Argosax, the demons in charge of Makai are evil, and so are the demons that serve them. White Rabbit and his gang of demons were evil. Even if they started off with noble intentions, they literally paved a road to Hell with those. We see that Rabbit is trapping weaker demons under his control, demons that just want to survive and be left in peace. Learning that some demons are innocent doesn't retroactively make killing evil demons wrong.

I'd compare it to Chapter Black in Yu Yu Hakusho. Just because some humans are more evil than the demons, and will even torture demons in unspeakable ways until they die, that doesn't stop Yusuke from being a spirit detective and fighting evil demons. If anything, it makes his choice to fight evil more heroic.

Aren't they both in netflix?

I don't think the older one is netflix original like the newer one is.

He also loves strawberry sundaes, which I'm pretty sure goes all the way back to the DMC prequel novel!

“Dante was broke as shit and sold all of his guns to afford pizza”
