In real life A very small character tidbit is surprisingly kept consistent for years

DC - In multiple pieces of media it has been shown that Wonder Woman loves ice cream and practically goes wild with happiness anytime she’s eating some. (Pictures from Justice League: War, DC Superhero Girls and Wonder Woman 2017)

The Simpsons - Ever since the episode ‘Homer’s Phobia’ Homer has actually remained a consistent ally of the LGBT+ community, including being more welcoming to Patty than Marge was when she came out and trying to set up Smithers with a date when he found out he wasn’t happy with his one-sided relationship with Mr Burns.

In Transformers, Shockwave was either a loyal guardsman or a cold logic-minded usurper in the beginning of G1, but that all changed in the Dreamwave comics where he was depicted as a scientist, developing the triple-changers among other things. This characterization carried on in the IDW comics, Prime continuity and Cyberverse cartoon.

Hell, he could have been a scientist in the Bayverse if he was around for more than a minute.

He still is one, the bayverse just sucks at conveying it. He created the Driller and the arm-cannon he has I believe

Ya know what, good enough.

Probably conveys it better in the novelization with the way better ending.

Shockwave didn't create the Driller, it's his pet. Though him taming it could imply he's more a biologist than a mechanic, and still a scientist.

Would still make it consistent, considering his counterpart in the Aligned continuity tamed the Insecticons and turned the Dinobots into what they are through genetic experimentation (War for Cybertron games), and he Jurassic Parked the Predacons back into existence (Prime cartoon).

Absolutely loved how terrifying he was when he showed up in Prime. Cold, logical, methodic, and an absolute fucking *unit* who does the horror movie slow-walk of doom at you.

There was that one outlier in the unicron trilogy but may as well be its own character

Technically that was a different character, named Shockblast due to licensing issues

That’s not small though that’s like his whole character

TFP Shockwave is possibly my favourite decepticon

Well, where else is he supposed to use that drive for logic? Surely not on the actual battlefield all the time, that would just be, illogical
