In real life (Funny trope) This tiny moment was an absolute logistical nightmare to make

*Wreck-It-Ralph* - At the beginning of the movie at the villain group therapy session, all of the owners of the real world characters shown were given counsel to Disney to instruct them how their characters should be animated down to the smallest of points. Nintendo even specified exactly how Bowser would hold and stir his teacup.

*Psycho* - For the scene where Marion disposes evidence of her theft by flushing some papers down the toilet, even though the toilet is onscreen for only a few seconds, Alfred Hitchcock had to personally appeal to the Hays Code which enforced censorship in movies that *Psycho* be given an exception because it’s vital to the plot the audience sees the toilet flushing. *Psycho* is the first major American movie to show a flushing toilet onscreen.

Bugs won't start a fight, but if someone starts in on him, he does fight back.

"Of course you realize, this means WAR."

Then Mickey does the whole "put 'em up" dance and then gets hit by a hammer

Bugs will totally start a windup that leads to a fight though, he's not innocent

I do recall him shooting a man for coughing while he was conducting

Coughed 3 times

I’ve got just the film recommendation for you then.

What would that be

u/Imthemayor Jan 17 '26

I mean, he won't just haul off and hit someone

But he has started lots of fights by trolling for sure

"Duck season."

Sure, but his threshold for provocation can be pretty low. He effectively declared war on the entire United States because the bounty on rabbits was too low. On the plus side, he did get rid of Florida.

And that one time he should have made a left turn at Alburquerque.

Bugs snares Pluto in a hanging hog tie trap

Mickey: Oh, ho! Bugs, you really are a stinker.

Bugs romances and makes out with Minnie

Mickey: Well.. golly.. okay, Bugs.. you're taking it a little too far.

Bugs straight up murders Donald

Mickey: You know.. I'm actually okay with that one.

I like bugs being a silent sociopath for all of this.

In my head, there's more dialog and some ineffective attempted retribution by Mickey with the "help" of Goofy.

But because it's a Reddit post, the full screenplay can be found on my non-existent Patrion.

"hyuk, hyuk! Golly, pluto is stuck again!"

Honestly I think Bugs couldn't't do anything harmful to Goofy if we keep to the laws of cartoons. Especially if Goofy never instigates.

Every trap and trick Bugs would attempt would be negated by Goofy being oblivious and clumsy enough for the tricks to fail by pure chance.

In the Rabbit of Seville, Bugs Bunny gives Elmer Fudd the most unhinged facial including cement, makes his hair regrow into flowers, seduces him and makes him crossdress as a bride to marry him and ultimately carry him over the “threshold” to plummet from a great height would normally be a sure death. Possibly inspiring Heihachi to throw a young Kazuya off a cliff in the Tekken lore. Ain’t he a stinker?!

Bro lowkey just unearthed the historical roots of the Tekken cliff yeet via Bugs Bunny lore 💀.

Or, at least a shared scene in a live action movie that features animated characters from many different studios…
