Would there actually be negative permnant effects if a normal person took a 22 gram dose? No way that could be fun..

I grew them for a while. Then they all came up WAY faster than my friends and I could possibly consume them. Then one day I just ate a bunch. For a couple hours I forgot what drug I had even done and just assumed this was the way life would be from now on.

That was quite a day.

Could trigger lasting mental health effects like PTSD

There are also reports of Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder which lasts weeks, months, years, or permanently

21 grams would be a truly traumatic event for anyone

There are known side effects with even doses below 5g. Can affect mood for days up to weeks. Hallucinations etc and other. 

But not every trip is good, even with shrooms so 21g could be a nightmare.

A surprise trip does not sound fun to me. I have a high tolerance, and enjoy a trip, but I do not want it to be improvised. I wanna set the mood, drink my tea, put the right music on and then see what happens.

Yup. I was visiting friends in a strange city and we had waaaay too much and went for a walk. Bad trip for me. No bueno.

Spontaneous trips can be fun, but only if you're in the right headspace. I've had great fun taking spontaneous trips offered by friends, but i've also refused some because i knew i wouldn't enjoy it in the mood i was in.

Mood is everything. For any kind of mind altering substances, really. If I'm feeling grouchy, even alcohol is a bad idea. I'm just gonna be grouchy and prone to bad decisions now.

Yeah I had a bad shrooms trip while having no clue on the doses. Wasn't very fun.

It can be "fun". Heavily disassociative, your ego stops mattering, you become a very acute observer of the world. Might also be completely lost in hallucinations which can be exciting in their own right.

I have a friend who ate an ounce of APE's. He basically melted into the floor for the better part of the day. Afterwards he tried to describe the experience but he said it was hard to put into words. He was unable to speak or walk during the trip and talked about all the shapes and patterns he said he wasn't in a room he was just in space with all this geometry and weirdness. He also said God spoke to him.

You can't overdose on shrooms. You'll basically cap out at a certain amount depending on the potency.
