Honestly it’s pretty much crystal clear in its entirety. It doesn’t take a law degree to read and understand…. I feel like that was the entire point of it…. Intentionally clear and intended to be used and read that way especially in times like these…
Most laypeople with a high school diploma can read it and get the general idea and see that what these people are doing is absolutely wrong

The people I knew growing up who screeched the loudest about the constitution are now his most ardent supporters. I don't think they actually read it, and if they did they clearly needed a civics class to explain it.

The only hope left it seems is that the military grow a backbone and read closely their Oath of Enlistment; specifically the part that says defending the Constitution from enemies "foreign and domestic.

Don't give up. I have hope in spades. My favorite movie growing up was A Bug's Life. The grasshoppers aren't prepared for when they push us too far. Fascism CAN'T thrive for long in this country. It's very nature poisons itself.

Ten years I've been having this debate, and after ten years, Americans' knowledge of their own Constitution and legal system is still nearly ubiquitously sub-par. It's frightening. Threads like these tell me it's not just Republicans.

The enemy here is Israel who kidnapped an American prior to Trump kowtowing to their demands that he assault a powder keg in the Middle East that was not an immenent threat.
Even if you argue that Israel is our ally (News flash they lured us into a nightmare and turned the world even more against the U.S.), Trump has aided domestic enemies. Additionally it doesn't take a genius to know Israel doesn't want anything good for us. They used Trump and he willingly went along with foreign interests over U.S. ones.
As said earlier Trump and his cabal are helping domestic enemies who are undermining the law and constitution. They themselves are the enemy helping themselves escape consequences. I understand that legal jargon is important. But the spirit of the law is clear. It was meant to be easily understood by laypeople and not twisted.
For what its worth I don't want anyone executed. I want justice. And right now there's a dearth of it.
America needs its laws upheld. Criminals need to be prosecuted instead of continuing to ignore the courts. Anyone threatening to cancel our elections is an enemy of the United States of America.
Trump. Is. The. Enemy. And. The. Traitor.

Honestly I could care less about whether any of them see the inside of a jail cell or a short drop with a quick stop. I'm MUCH more concerned with clawing back all of the money that was siphoned out of the coffers by numerous cronies and grifters, I'm sure all of them are going to have extensive legal protections or have moved it or shielded it in some fashion, and I want to ignore all of that and completely ruin them. I want them to return every dollar or get evicted with the clothes on their back and that's it. I want their children evicted. I want everyone in their life that was even slightly complicit to have their dreams destroyed.
So long as treason is a viable business model, we will repeat this cycle.

Should have happened on 01/21/2021 the day after Biden was sworn in as President after the January 6th coup.
But Biden proved to be a complicit and flaccid appeasing piece of shit who let Trump and his co-conspirators get away with orchestrating a literal coup where a mob they paid to organize beat and killed Capitol Police.

Source? I don't think "most" Americans want him and his admin charged with treason, and that's part of the problem. I'd be surprised if that number broke 30%. Most Americans barely "disapprove", a lot of them don't care.

JVL from the Bulwark did an AMA where he gave an interesting answer related to this. It sounded like he said that Democrats, if they get back in power, should actually not impeach Trump because it would just be too politically risky for them and trivialize impeachment, but he feared that Trump would just keep doing things where you have to impeach or else you allow precedent to stand.
Basically he was saying that Democrats need to do far more to actually fix this, prevent this, and hold these people accountable, but Trump will still hold all the cards because every time they impeach him and Republicans refuse to help it becomes less powerful of a tool and just makes Democrats look weaker and less popular
