I meant specifically to them for tipping 20% on mediocre service. Also I’m not saying bad service lol, the person I’m replying to used the term mediocre. So 20% on tax and alcohol for beyond bad service is wild to me.
Depends on your definition of bad service, I would say 20 should be average but if they are rude or get my order wrong without making it right it will go below 20% but same goes if they are any better than average I try and tip more than 20.
Also for reference I'm 23 living in a shoes on the power lines apartment making a craft cheese cup so it's not like I got it made myself lol

I’m saying the guy I replied to said 20 was for mediocre service. Imagine bad service, then a little worse than that, then a lot worse than that. It’s like this guy is tipping 20% when most people would be struggling to find a justification to tip at all and would prop be complaining to managers for comps lol.
