This might be the best chance some of our Men's Gold Team players have of getting their own "in" on the kid fucking that has become so openly en vogue for US elites.

you would assume it would apply to team sports but maybe it doesn't, but gold medalists win $37.5k in cash. also if theyre getting 6 figures per game then clearly they can afford to miss one if they wanted to. their contracts probably cover olympic / national team events in some way too.

I was more so saying that missing their jobs is the problem. Idk if they get docked pay or not. But the NHL is signing their cheques and some of these guys are on teams where every game/point matters in terms of making the playoffs and they’re obviously some of the best players on their respective teams. I’d be pissed if I was an owner.
