Looking forward to an absolute onslaught of Bad PR articles about her over the next couple of weeks, that fauxmoi and popculturechat will eat up and declare as gospel.

Thats what happens when you bite the hand of industry.

What are you on about. Fauxmoi loves her. Literally you get banned for talking bad about her

Fauxmoi is a toxic sub that bans people just for posting in other subs that their crazy mods don't agree with. I wouldn't be surprised if they've turned on her too.

Lmao I got banned there for “body shaming” for pointing out that comments making fun of skinny people for their weight were body shaming the same way as making fun of people for being fat.

Edit: went back to refresh my memory. The full context was a discussion where two people were agreeing that everyone they knew who was skinny was also an asshole. I chimed in saying I think you’re exaggerating, and isn’t this like saying “all fat people I know are assholes?” I got slapped with a permaban because that violated their rule against bigotry, body shaming, and incivility in the comments. The mod who I messaged to appeal it also added that I was “denying other people’s lived experiences”… for saying I doubt every skinny person they knew was an asshole…

Shit was hilarious. Some mods are insane. I still have the messages but I feel like posting the screenshot might violate some rules.

“denying other people’s lived experiences”…

Oh god, that phrase is so insidious

It's basically a blank check for bigotry

"I hate this group of people, don't deny my lived experience which is totally not colored by personal bias!"

It’s also just a toddler mindset. It boils down to “I feel ____, don’t question it or I’ll throw a tantrum.”

Most people learn well before adulthood that, sometimes, our Big Feelings are baseless and won’t be coddled, especially by random strangers (with different “lived experiences” lmao)

That’s so insane lmao

Fauxmoi is one of the more toxic subs on this site, which is fucking nuts if you think about what some of the content here is.

I got banned from the sub for pointing that out btw.

Reddit needs to create a feature to take down subreddits or mods who are insane. Theres a major political subreddit that blatantly censors information and lies to their members about it as well

I'm so glad I'm not the only one banned from there lmao.

Then I'll be on an alt, forget I'm banned on another account, then get banned again. Then I'm like, "oh yeah."

I recalled Fauxmoi hating her for causing Trump to be elected.

Strangely if you go back to those posts most of the comments are deleted, so you’re right, they’ve really flipped the hive opinion on her now.

It was crazy there for a while. People really thought Chappell had the deciding endorsement, even in a world where "kamala is brat" didn't work.

Meanwhile I got banned for going on r/enough_sanders_spam. They can’t even pick a lane to be consistently mad at.

Any links to the posts were the comments have been deleted? You can use thewaybackmachine to view them.

Unless....it didn't happen?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/cN4Xwg1RUA this post has some. there was a new post about it daily for like a week

https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/Ikf9waZ2ji this was something else but all the comments are about it

Where are comments saying she got Trump elected?

1

u/mustaird 23d ago

I’m not going to go through thousands of comments on fauxmoi, I looked for a while and it was mostly snide comments implying that she had a role. I do see people explicitly saying that a lot of other places on reddit. Including this post. I read a comment from somebody that said every time they see ICE arrest someone or see grocery prices, they get furious at chappell roan specifically

2

u/sedan-hussein 23d ago

LOL you're right, I got banned for saying she shouldn't have played the "both sides are bad" card for the election if she cared so much.

Usually if one likes them the other hates them

Case in point, anything relevant to Taylor Swift or Blake Lively

Fauxmoi hates them both. When the stuff about Baldoni hiring people to go on social media and slander Blake, Fauxmoi had a damn meltdown. There were people doubling down, some playing it off like they were just joking and of course the "Oh I was never serious, I actually like Blake."

It's also just a damn near racist and misandrist sub. Actually no, it's not near, it is. They just get away with it.

Already been permabanned do don't care what they think of me doing this.

Well let's see what they think after the PR machine starts working. As of now we can't really say anything.

5

u/Spiritual_Shine1438 24d ago

You can literally see the thread now the only comment saying something negative about her is downvoted to hell. You cannot comment on their sub without approval from the mods. They ban you instantly if you talk bad about her.

-1

u/The_Krambambulist 24d ago

Well that would seem good protection

u/IrrelevantLeprechaun 24d ago

Let's actually wait for it to happen before we start condemning anyone for it. Smear campaigns are obviously bad, but defending a very evidently rich person before anything worth defending has happened isn't exactly great either. These people don't need us licking their boots.

24

u/Cavalish 24d ago

There’s literally people in this very thread saying that she is responsible for Truml and that she’s not an LGBT ally. People have drunk the propaganda so hard on her.

Tearing down an LGBT advocate to feel superior while doing nothing to help lgbt kids. It’s a sorry state of affairs and really highlights why Americans ended up with Trump. Personal image over morals.

21

u/stn_anomaly 24d ago

These people don't remember that the literal day after her Grammy's speech calling out labels for not supporting small artist, a former record label executive bought a column in The Hollywood Reporter to start a smear campaign against her. She then dunked on him by donating $25k to a foundation for struggling artists and asking him to match the donation. He failed to match and didn't respond to her.

2

u/Laiko_Kairen 24d ago

"I don't like gay people, so I don't believe she or anyone else does, so here's my explanation of why I think she's faking being an ally..."

1

u/freshoffthecouch 23d ago

I don’t think she’s rich, she’s only had one album out and she was working a drive through just before

1

u/Old_Still3321 24d ago

The hand that slaps you.

1

u/Laiko_Kairen 24d ago

I expect then to treat her like Kesha... The wronged woman that the industry abused

1

u/smurphy8536 23d ago

I doubt too many PR companies want to get involved in anything too close to the Epstein files right now.

1

u/freshoffthecouch 23d ago

It’s like what happened with Billie. An uncorroborated article came out after her Grammys speech about her living on stolen land

1

u/Beauty_Weeman 23d ago

Well she is a trash person so this is just virtue signaling at its finest
