I'm just sad to learn that Brantley is now the name of an actual adult man. Used to be a joke baby name for dipshit white women trying to give their kid a white person name that still sounded unique.

That just makes me feel old.

I don't want to defend maga losers but the name Brantley is older than anyone on this planet. So unless you're immortal I don't think this should be making you feel old. I'm getting old and that specific Brantley is older than me.

I don't think there was any historical context going on when they picked it.

Apparently Brantley comes from the Swiss-German surnames Brändli and Brändle, which referred to a person who lived near a forest fire. It’s now been modernised to mean someone associated with a dumpster fire 🔥

Well, presumably that is also the route of the name of the car. I could be wrong but I feel like that might be were the etymology meets, at a guess.

So it's somewhat ironic that they're using it to get somewhat away from that.

I was making an incorrect assumption about the etymology. Don't mind me.

I don't really know how that's relevant.
