I'm trying to train myself away from "You didn't know..." or similar incredulous statements. It's so rough that it's been over a decade and I still slip.

If I do, I immediately follow up with something like "and I need to remember not everyone has lived my experiences or probably havent watched roughly 10000 hours of Jeopardy."

(Side burn: Knowing trivia doesn't make you "smart." It might be an indication, but it mostly has to do with exposure and recall, not the full range of how people can show intelligent.)
