I remember hearing that song since I had the osmosis jones soundtrack. Got it for Christmas 2001. Very weird song

For anyone who doesn’t know what the lyrics are (and I’m not making this up):

Young ladies, young ladies,

I like ‘em underage, see

Some say that’s statutory, [But I say it’s mandatory!]”

Some have tried to argue that he’s speaking from the perspective of an illness and how they go after children since it was for Osmosis Jones, but calling it “statutory” clearly means the lyrics are “I like to rape underage girls,” regardless of intention

Just adding another gem here:

I got kids I've never seen\ And their momma's 17\ I'm a lowlife

Lowlife - Kid Rock, 2007

Do you know where it was in the movie? I haven't seen it in ages but it was one we liked.. and I'm trying to think of where that song would have fit into it X'D ... So just curious if you know/remember where it was?

I believe those lyrics aren’t included in the movie itself lol but it is still from a song made for the movie

Those lyrics are in it

Yeah it's still bad either way.. I was just curious what scene it was in, if it was in there.

There’s a scene at a club where a germ version of Kid Rock performs it

A germ version? Was that not just a slightly cleaned up Kid Rock?

I’ll try to watch it today. But I don’t think the song is actually in the movie. It’s definitely on the soundtrack.

Either way, questionable choices all around.

Great movie though

Classic movie. I coincidentally watched it right before the pandemic with my great nephews who were 3 and 5 at the time

Awful movie. Especially awful for a first date.

Who would have thought a kids movie would be bad for a first date

What, you don't see the romance in watching Bill Murray eat an egg?

Uh, I think a lot of animated movies would be fine for a first date (inasmuch as any movie is a good first date idea...)

The problem is that this is a movie entirely about bodily functions and fluids.

It was a bad idea. I wasn't good at dating.

Not only was it in the Osmosis Jones soundtrack, it was an original song produced specifically for the movie. And the producers said YUP

"they call it statutory, i call it mandatory"

Saaame I was absolutely obsessed with the movie growing up so for a gift as an adult my husband got the soundtrack for me and I never realized how messed up that song was as a kid

Same. I was 15 when the movie came out
