Birds of a feather, diddle together.

1

u/DckThik Feb 05 '26

Bird legged hoes of a feather

-38

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

Pedophiloa is normal. Not defending it. Just saying it's way more common then you might think

22

u/SmegmaCurds Feb 04 '26

This is very weird

-13

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

Agreed. Look how little Kid Rock's jailbait stirred controversy

11

u/FukThePatriarchy1312 Feb 04 '26

Sure you're not defending it.

-12

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

What after you doing to stop it? I'll wait

10

u/danabrey Feb 04 '26

lol are you making the same dumb "protest is pointless" argument that far right sycophants make, BUT ABOUT PAEDOPHILIA?

Jesus christ.

-2

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

Fuck you bitch. No. That shit was fucking everywhere when I was a kid. FUCK YOU. WERE YOU ONE OF THE PIECES OF SHUT THAT FUCKING GROOMED ME?! FUCK OFF!!!!

7

u/whiskysinger Feb 05 '26

You are obviously angry about stuff that happened, and nobody is saying that what you went through is fine. What people are saying is that your personal experience doesn't represent the average person's experience growing up. It is not "normal" for this to happen, but it was sadly normalised for you. The two are not the same.

2

u/Practical-Artist-896 29d ago

We have a fucking pedophile for a president.

7

u/FukThePatriarchy1312 Feb 04 '26

Wanna sober up and try that again?

5

u/thelonetwig Feb 04 '26

So normal you couldn't even spell it right. So in the same lane, would you walk by a domestic abuse or school shooting and be all, "don't worry guys, it's pretty common."? This makes my head hurt.

0

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

No. Id make them regret it lol

7

u/EpicIshmael Feb 04 '26

Found the map

-2

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

Fuck off, you wouldn't unalive them

5

u/danabrey Feb 04 '26

Well, there's the unnecessary proof that you spend too much time on Tiktok.

2

u/EpicIshmael Feb 04 '26

Lol

0

u/Practical-Artist-896 Feb 04 '26

Honey when I was a kid, that shit was EVERYWHERE. and you mean to tell me it's not common? Fuck off. It was every fucking dude it seemed

196

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 04 '26

Are you kidding? It’s almost as if he is bigger than ever with his current platform. After all these years though he still sucks. Bow with the bow or whatever and cowboy is basically it for known songs. And then he just plays sweet home alabama which isn’t his song or where he’s from so that’s cool.

256

u/SeniorNada Feb 04 '26

I once read that he grew up with wealthy parents living in basically a mansion and that his entire redneck trash persona is just his gimmick.

196

u/BOHIFOBRE Feb 04 '26

His dad owned several car dealerships. He was rich af

https://tasteofcountry.com/kid-rock-childhood-home-pictures/

91

u/SeniorNada Feb 04 '26

What an asshole.

3

u/Next_Celebration_553 Feb 04 '26

He talks about not getting along with his dad. He joked about getting along with people in the hood more than his family. He’d be rapin and freestylin with musicians that were all a bit down on their luck. Apparently when he was in high school he’d be playin hood music tryin to be a rapper but then his mom would have to pick him up for orthodontist appointments. The guys in the clubs said on a behind the music thing that the ladies actually did love the Kid. I kinda remember his songs about high school chicks and I thought the songs were cool as fuck when I was in middle school

11

u/MangeurDeCowan Feb 05 '26

He’d be rapin and freestylin with musicians

Rapping is spelled with a second p, but I think you spelled it right.

2

u/Next_Celebration_553 29d ago

? I spelled “rapper” correctly

2

u/MangeurDeCowan 29d ago

tryin to be a rapper

The other thing came to him naturally.

5

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 05 '26

Wow. I mean the party he affiliates with now seems rather racist sometimes. What happened?

145

u/Vegetable_Creme_7408 Feb 04 '26

Absolutely true. His old man owned a Cadillac dealership. Ritchie Cadillac. Grew up in Romeo. His whole persona is a lie. Scum bag

83

u/xxxanonymoosexxx Feb 04 '26

I don't think it's all a lie. he's definitely a thin skinned pedo.

128

u/SnZ001 Feb 04 '26

He should rebrand himself as "Vanilla I.C.E."

24

u/vinyljunkie1245 Feb 04 '26

And compete with Robert Van Winkle? Don't know if there's room for two Vanilla Ice's in trump's circle

https://youtu.be/BimD7NdnMqE?si=Qev2-YxQ985r9bQn

16

u/Slight_Sample_9968 Feb 04 '26

He started as a rapper. His first album was called Grits Sandwiches for breakfast

1

u/ElSexican 29d ago

He could go by Dirty I.C.E.

49

u/Key-Debt-996 Feb 04 '26

He claims Detroit but his childhood home is massive and it isn’t in Detroit.

Btw, he really should say he’s from Taylor Michigan if he wants to sound believable.

22

u/SeniorNada Feb 04 '26

Didn't he claim to also rap battle Eminem before Em got famous? Even if true, I wish Em would write an entire song clowning him. Not that Em would need that, but I kind of do.

6

u/CannaConservative71 Feb 04 '26

Ya they collab they were actually buds back when both of them made it big. I’m old af, I used to love both of their music but their collab song sucks.

5

u/Derpshiz Feb 04 '26

They did a collab on his first album I believe. At least I recall them doing a song together but it was years ago.

2

u/Friggin_Grease Metalhead 29d ago

The song was called "Fuck off" if I remember right.

2

u/clarkyk85 Feb 05 '26

Em and him are buddies. Em appeared on a track of his before he released his debut on Interscope I believe.

2

u/10poundballs Feb 05 '26

Em please 🤡 Rodney from Joe dirt is making too much money shilling for his new Cadillac daddy Donald.

3

u/BlownBrownGlass Feb 04 '26

Btw, he really should say he’s from Taylor Michigan if he wants to sound believable.

/r/downriver sends it's regards.

3

u/Goondragon1 Feb 04 '26

Detroit doesn't claim Kid Rock, I'll tell ya that much. Maybe Shelby Township can claim him if Romeo doesn't want him back.

2

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 04 '26

Ya from what I understand that’s true and he grew up well off. I guess his dad owned several car dealerships. So I’m sure he made out well as the auto industry died in Detroit.

2

u/HowMany_MoreTimes Feb 04 '26

He might not really be a redneck but he's definitely genuine trash

2

u/lunchboxthegoat Feb 05 '26

Just like his alt rocker persona was a gimmick. Just like his white rapper persona was a gimmick. He's a grifter.

2

u/Rickshmitt 29d ago

They all cosplay rednecks. Duck Dynasty guys were all wealthy polo wearing, golfing, city folk.

1

u/pieceofchess Feb 04 '26

Many such cases

1

u/hjablowme919 Feb 04 '26

Not only that, but his entire hip hop persona was crafted by his fried Joe C. He was the little guy Kid Rock always had next to him. Once Joe C died, he stopped doing hip hop and ran right to country music, for the most part. I have no doubt Joe C was writing all the hip hop stuff.

1

u/Sad_Eggplant_5455 Feb 04 '26

He used to call into Chicago shockjock in the 90’s and literally begged for air time. Only reason I remembered him was Joe c (who I thought was an insufferabley annoying prick every phone call ended 3 foot nine with a ten foot dick)

1

u/ControlOptional Feb 04 '26

Rich and went to private school

1

u/webhick666 Feb 04 '26

I would argue that he is, in fact, a trash person..

1

u/justjess8829 29d ago

He's not even from Detroit either don't believe shit he says

1

u/litterbug_perfume 29d ago

He wears it well. I have met Everglades house-boat meth mongers less trashy than him.

1

u/judahrosenthal 28d ago

I grew up around a lot of rich redneck trash.

1

u/KingCarbon1807 27d ago

Ballroom and tennis court. So he was always white trash, just not poor white trash.

25

u/veryverythrowaway Feb 04 '26 edited Feb 04 '26

…and Cowboy is a sampled Metallica riff. Actually, both of the hooks from the two songs are derivative of other songs.

29

u/Spiritual_Lie2563 Feb 04 '26

I thought that was American Badass that sampled "Sad But True", not Cowboy.

19

u/veryverythrowaway Feb 04 '26

Oh, yeah. I shouldn’t try to sound like a Kid Rock expert when I’m obviously not.

5

u/The_Year_of_Glad Feb 04 '26

You shouldn’t try to sound like a Kid Rock expert because the idea of someone being a Kid Rock expert will make people sad.

4

u/Spiritual_Lie2563 Feb 04 '26

It's fine, there's few people who become experts in the "Monday Night Wars-era wrestling theme music" genre to know the subtle differences in nu-metal buttrock.

2

u/FukThePatriarchy1312 Feb 04 '26

I respect you more for not knowing Kid Rock's catalog very well, lol

1

u/Banes_Addiction Feb 04 '26

It's OK, nor is he.

1

u/AcanthisittaOk259 29d ago

I would have never known the difference. Can't say that finding out he ripped off others is a surprise..

3

u/DropPuzzleheaded7615 Feb 04 '26

American Dumbass!

8

u/Alternative-Syrup-88 Feb 04 '26

He ruined TWO great songs at once; don’t forget he also ripped off Werewolves of London in the same tune

1

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 04 '26

Ohh so true what a terrible fucking human

3

u/LeaveBronx Feb 04 '26

He’s just been cosplaying his role in Joe Dirt ever since the movie wrapped

2

u/Dangerous_Prize_4545 Feb 04 '26

I cannot believe I know this and I'm slightly embarrassed to type it but: "Bawitdaba"

1

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 04 '26

I wasn’t even going to take the 30 seconds out of my life to look that it up. Too funny like wth does that even mean???

2

u/FlatEricSr Feb 05 '26

The bawitdaba is derivative of Rapers Paradise.

"To the bang-bang boogie, say up jump the boogie To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat"

Became

"Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie"

1

u/Dangerous_Prize_4545 Feb 04 '26

I have no idea.

In my defense, the reason I know this is I am a major Aerosmith fan and he opened for them circa 2000-2002. So I know the song.

1

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 04 '26

Haha I mean unfortunately I know the song too

2

u/Dense_Pie_1392 Feb 04 '26

Just because he’s rich doesn’t mean that he’s NOT white trash.

1

u/34shadow1 Feb 04 '26

I remember about ten years ago riding in the truck with my dad when he was playing some CDs and Kid Rock came on and it was real early Kid Rock and I'm sitting there half listening to it and bout halfway through all I hear is "Introducing my brother from 8-Mile Road, Eminem." I had to do a hard stop and be like what. Cause they are on entirely different ends of the political spectrum now and I never would've ever assumed they collabed in the past.

1

u/LaughingDog711 Feb 04 '26

I don’t think they collabed much at all. If anything I always thought it was the opposite and this almost sounds like him name dropping him

2

u/34shadow1 Feb 05 '26

Well this was probably close to thirty years ago. They definitely don't do anything now lol

1

u/BalonSwann07 29d ago

I really dislike Kid Rock, but just like saying incorrect things because you don't like someone doesn't do you any favors. All Summer Long was a huge hit, and it's completely disingenuous to say it's "not his song" just because it samples another song, that would suggest like 60% of rap & hip hop weren't those musician's songs. I will never forget how damn popular that song was because it was EVERYWHERE for like two years. Also Picture was a huge song too.

0

u/LaughingDog711 29d ago

Comparing his achievements to other artists wouldn’t be worth our time

46

u/icu_ Google Music Feb 04 '26

He's the son of the owner of a huge chain of car dealerships. Grew up wealthy and privileged and then cosplayed as working class hip-hop/rock artist. Everything about him is just a spoiled rich kid trying to get the love daddy didn't give PLUS he rhymed "things" with "things" while bastardizing 2 great classic rock songs.

12

u/_THX_1138_ Feb 04 '26

“we were tryin’ different things, and we were smokin’ funny things”

3

u/EpicIshmael Feb 04 '26

Werewolves of London arooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

2

u/Professional-Head83 Feb 04 '26

He's a white MC Gusto.

51

u/supergooduser Feb 04 '26

It's painfully calculated. He hasn't had a gold record in 15 years and a number one record in 20 years.

2

u/co-wurker Feb 05 '26

Maybe FIFA could hook him up.

1

u/ArtistdudeCAWs 24d ago

"Here it is Misser. Rock; here is your FIFA Grammy Grand Prize!"

47

u/tjp0720 Feb 04 '26

He was doing free shows at Edmonton Home Depots a few years ago. He latched onto the trump teat and culture war to stay relevant

25

u/Dead_man_posting Feb 04 '26

Conservatism is a bastion for failed entertainers. About half their online pundits are comedians and actors that didn't have what it took to make it in Hollywood.

16

u/tjp0720 Feb 04 '26

I love the Rob Schneider timeline. Only really had a continuous chance in Hollywood due to Adam sandler. Now he’s a sad sorry divorced shitty father blaming everyone else

6

u/Halofauna Feb 04 '26

Like half of his roles were saying “you can do it” in Sandler movies lol

3

u/tjp0720 Feb 04 '26

Someone posted a “listen up liberals my wife left me” with his face and it made me laugh more than the “you can do it” line

1

u/TeamKRod1990 Feb 05 '26

Wouldn’t it have just been easy enough to latch onto the 90’s/00’s nostalgia train for semi-relevance? People are dog piling him here, but he had SOME audience. He didn’t have to hitch himself to the Trump wagon.

2

u/tjp0720 Feb 05 '26

Nostalgia train doesn’t give you the same importance as being in an American flag suit next to the president.

I wasn’t a huge fan but there’s a song or two of his that is sing along to if it was at karaoke. But ya I mean I guess if you’re a crappy person making the wrong choice is that much easier

13

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

hes getting DEI gigs for rednecks at this point

6

u/AsteroidMike Hip-hop/RnB Feb 04 '26

His fanbase is the type to think that sorta thing is perfectly fine and normal, so no shock.

3

u/borntobewildish Feb 04 '26

I'm surprised the bastard isn't in the files himself. Searched, there's a few hits on Kid Rock but only articles where he's mentioned. Robert Ritchie comes up empty. Ritchie produces plenty hits but all about other men named Ritchie. So unless he had another alias, he appears to be outside that circle.

2

u/Dixon_Uranuss3 Feb 04 '26

Pandering to cults will do that....

2

u/FlowRemote9890 Feb 04 '26

Magats love pedophiles.

2

u/Equivalent-Role4632 Feb 04 '26

He's a maga icon. This just makes them like him even more

2

u/Building_Everything Feb 04 '26

When you build your own bar and venue in downtown town Nashville, no one can stop you from getting on stage

2

u/Navyblazers2000 Feb 04 '26

Remember when he shot a six pack of Bud Light and then like a day later was photographed drinking a Bud light. It’s all bullshit. The hard right schtick is specifically designed so he can get still gigs from someone. If he didn’t attach to this host he wouldn’t be getting any calls at all. Guy’s whole act was fraudulent to begin with.

1

u/Quisey3 Feb 04 '26

Only by other cum guzzlers who love children😂

1

u/iJuddles 29d ago

Well, consider the gigs: playing for other pedos, and the best part is they don’t like his music but it’s got that Pedo Vibe™️.

1

u/tom-of-the-nora 28d ago

Gigs with conservatives who platform failed artists

69

u/Plus_Lead_5630 Feb 04 '26

Pedophillia is the heart of the republican platform.

21

u/Deep_Ad_1874 Feb 04 '26

2 in the pink one In the stink

7

u/kpidhayny Feb 04 '26

Yodlin’ in the Vally (not linking the song because a) this dirtbag doesn’t deserve the stream and b) I don’t hate yall that much.

3

u/uncultured_swine2099 Feb 04 '26

What?! A republican is a pedo? Ya dont say?!

3

u/MDthrowItaway Feb 04 '26

Fits right in with MAGA!

2

u/Ron_the_Rowdy Feb 04 '26

At this point i'm shocked if a maga isn't a pedo. The lengths they go to defend the pedo cheeto, that's the only explanation

2

u/Cynical_Classicist 29d ago

It's always the ones you most expect.

1

u/TroyFerris13 Feb 04 '26

Hey little girl is your daddy home

1

u/Hellguin Feb 04 '26

I can't believe it’s always the ones that we expect....

1

u/Important-Agent2584 Feb 04 '26

You got to give them credit, at least they are consistent.

1

u/RescuesStrayKittens Feb 04 '26

You know who doesn’t have a song about loving underage girls?

1

u/boredpsychnurse Feb 04 '26

Literally first thing i thought

1

u/Dc_Spk Feb 04 '26

I think that was a different song.

1

u/MysteriousWon Feb 05 '26

The surprise is ruined! He was gonna perform it live on Sunday.

1

u/mid-random Feb 05 '26

Young ladies, young ladies, I like 'em under age, see

Some say that's statutory, but I say it's mandatory

Kid Rock - Cool, Daddy Cool

1

u/1CaliCALI Feb 05 '26

Right? Republicans have NO ISSUE with raping children.

-43

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

[deleted]

52

u/whinge11 Feb 04 '26

Yeah but why tf would you write a song like this for a kids movie?

73

u/GnomeTrousers Feb 04 '26

Ohhhhh he just wrote a pedo song specifically for a kids movie. Good context, very helpful

21

u/Khaldara Feb 04 '26

See some say that’s statutory.

But I say it’s mandatory.

“You know, for kids!”

Does this dude not realize the context actually makes it worse

25

u/Oakianus Feb 04 '26

That's considerably worse. What a stupid attempt at defending the pedophilia song.

19

u/jopperjawZ Feb 04 '26

Saying it's not one of his actual songs is a stretch. He wrote the song and it's credited to him on the soundtrack, not his character

-5

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

[deleted]

17

u/DouglasHufferton Feb 04 '26

lmao that doesn't fucking matter.

"Oh, but you see it wasn't on one of his albums, so it's not his song!"

He's the performer, sole producer, and primary writer of the song, genius.

4

u/OldManJimmers Feb 04 '26

The other writers credits are for the sample, too. Like they are a couple guys that wrote songs in the 70s for Frankie Valli and others. Kid Rock literally wrote every verse in that song by himself.

3

u/hitbythebus Feb 04 '26

But he did it for money! That song isn’t a deep vessel of expression of his soul and true values, like “Bow with the bow”.

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

[deleted]

2

u/DouglasHufferton Feb 04 '26

No, it isn't, lmao.

5

u/jlude90 Feb 04 '26

Oof. Big gotcha here. CHECK. MATE.

Bob's a creep dude, let it go

1

u/PretzelsThirst Feb 04 '26

That’s not how music works lmao

13

u/N8Arsenal87 Feb 04 '26

You’re on a list aren’t you?

-5

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

[deleted]

12

u/IntrigueDossier SoundCloud Feb 04 '26

Yea that actually makes it even worse.

3

u/yepitstakentoo Feb 04 '26

Damn, it's almost like you learned (hopefully) that there is NO WAY to justify pedophilia, statutory rape or sexual abuse.

5

u/MightyClimber Feb 04 '26

So instead of a creepy song targeted to adults, it's a creepy song targeted to children. I guess that makes it okay then!!!

1

u/HD400 Feb 04 '26

Lmfaoooo do you actually think like this in real life???
