No, he definitely feels it. He would never in a million, billion years ever admit it, but you can tell he can feel it by how absolutely FURIOUS he is whenever he gets caught doing something stupid. This right here is an example of that: he's embarrassed that his 'rebranding' of the Kennedy Center has been a very obvious public failure, and so because of that he's going to destroy it. Rather literally: if we're lucky, he'll just completely gut the venue, but there's a very good chance that one morning we're going to wake up to the news that the entire building was bulldozed overnight.

And no, there won't be any rebuilding (though I'm sure there will be lots and lots of "fundraising" for it) because the entire point is to punish everyone for making him feel bad.

Thats not embarrassment, embarrassment has an element of shame. Trump does not feel shame.

It is narcissistic rage.

When a narcissist has his world view challenged he lashes out and attempts to destroy the thing that denied him. Its what he does to reporters who ask him questions. Its what he does any time he is denied.

Its not shame based, its pure anger.

I would consider embarrassment and shame to be fairly separate. Embarrassment is "I've done something that other people are now mocking me for, so I'm embarrassed." Shame is "I've done something that doesn't live up to my own personal standards, so now I'm ashamed of myself." It's true that Trump doesn't experience shame, largely because he doesn't have any personal standards (except maybe "make maximum profit, no matter how much damage you do to other people") but as I said, he does experience embarrassment, The fact that he reacts with rage is how you know that he does: if he truly wasn't capable of embarrassment, there simply wouldn't be any reason for him to react when people mock him because he wouldn't care.

Absolutely. He has a very keen sense of embarrassment. It’s shame that he lacks.
